I have a lvx6048 (same as 6000ex) at about 3300w on one leg it will give a overload alarm with 1000w on the other leg
  • Post in thread: Lv6548 random restarts

So I'm not sure why but I fired it up tonight and switched to sbu it ran flawless for over an hour so I switched it back to sub and two hours in with no restart.
  • Post in thread: Lv6548 random restarts

Sry yes they are mpp I'm just OCD a bit and a painter so I painted to match the boxes
  • Post in thread: anyone use oil pipe/drill stem for ground mount ?

Yes used 3 posts of 2 3/8 stem for 10 panels, withstood 100 mi an hour winds in December.
  • Post in thread: System to connect EV to home power and use EV battery to power home.

Sunny boy storage I believe basically does this
  • Post in thread: Turning off equipment when battery backup kicks in?

Just put a din rail and a 15A breaker in the main disconnect box before the solark with 1 15A outlet branch circuit for the Ethernet switch
  • Post in thread: Electric company is only giving 70% of solar I produce

They are awesome!! Can do a lot with it
  • Post in thread: Expanding an existing small array

If using micro inverters you can mix and match because essentially each panel/inverter combo is its own little system. kind of like different lightbulbs
  • Post in thread: Hello everyone I am looking for advice!

I have almost this exact setup except 10*410w panels and producing 18-25kwh/ day average consumption before was 900-1200kw month now I'm between 100-450
  • Post in thread: Unique Generator

I was just wandering the internet this afternoon and came across this https://dcautogen.com/product/v5-autogen-48v-dc-generator-charger/ I've never seen a dc generator thought I'd post it up here for any experience or interest from the community.
  • Post in thread: MPP-Solar LVX-6048

It's really more of a battery? than a inverter? Just look up eg4 master/secondary instructions
  • Post in thread: Unique Generator

Ya kind of spendy but I just thought for the right person I'd could be a nice standby/ off-grid replacement with alot less losses
  • Post in thread: Lv6548 random restarts

They feel Cool to the touch on the front (grey) panel fans are in low speed. First time it happened was within 5min of startup. I lose power for 2-3 seconds before they fire up again. I haven't tested without solar yet. This evening I'm going to try sbu
  • Post in thread: Megarevo RxLNA Discussion

For those of you who have one would you buy it again? And is the blue sun BSE-8KLNA the same inverter ( can use megarevo updates). I got bit by the LVX6048 and looking for a replacement
  • Post in thread: Parallel LVX6048

I'm planning to run 2 lvx6048s in parallel to backup my house. can anyone tell me if I can run solar to just one? I plan on running 8s1p string for now and add another to the other inverter at a later date. Will they play nice that way?
  • Post in thread: Megarevo RxLNA Discussion

Thank you for that, that's kind of what I learned from this thread. The Lvx6048 kind of had the same growing pains. I bought 1 with intent to add a second if needed but they can't get them to parallel properly and quit updating firmware. my monthly avg 15 min peak is 5.5-6.3kw so I think one of...
  • Post in thread: Small Grid-Tied Inverter Ideas

The Big problem I see is it could allow more amps on a circuit than it should have. Potentially 4.1A+ 20A breaker = 24.1A not good on wiring!
  • Post in thread: Solar system not working after power uprating.

Our co-op provider switched all residential to this rate plan 1-1-23
  • Post in thread: Subpanel is 99% 120V except by Dryer that is 240V. Is it still okay to connect the Inverter AC-OUT 120V into both L1/L2 ?

@usphisics On your emporia go to menu/notifications/ add alert. There add an alert for mains consumption of slightly lower than the rated surge of the inverter your looking at for 3 sec. (Or rated constant for 30sec) It will send you an alert if that sub panel exceeds the surge (constant)...
  • Post in thread: Ground Array. Where to buy material

Don't know where you are but I used 2 3/8" oil field pipe for poles. Cheap any super sturdy
  • Post in thread: Ground Array. Where to buy material

It is some heavy stuff at 6lbs a ft and 0.28" wall thickness I'm not worried about rust. But I thought at some point I would paint it with some rust converter chassis paint. Just look for a oil field supply yard. I bought all 3 joints (32ft each) used for $160 its called drill stem
  • Post in thread: Turning off equipment when battery backup kicks in?

I edited my post with a pic. This is how mine was setup for a 30A RV plug.
  • Post in thread: Lv6548 clothes dryer shutdown

I have 2 Lv6548s running my house in SUB mode. With the new demand charges from 2-7pm I added a timer to switch to SBU during this time. I've discovered that while in battery mode the dryer won't run whether you start it in utility or battery mode it will shut off after a minute or two in...
  • Post in thread: Parallel LVX6048

That's what I thought just wanted confirmation, thank you
  • Post in thread: Anyone here with expereince with setting up grid tie array paycheck to paycheck?

That's kind of tough to do because you really need almost everything to make anything work. My sma inverter needs 190v to run in MPPT so that is a minimum of 4 panels. And racking isn't necessary but a good idea. If you are looking at zero export look at the EG4 6000/6500 series or similar...
  • Post in thread: Lv6548 random restarts

Yes this is a quick-n-dirty battery wiring to test with. The batteries are 4 12v deep cells wired in series with all 2/0 wire. Charge/equalize at 58v when shutdowns occurred I was running in SUB mode as I'm grid tied with 1-1 so I want to float batterys and use the 2500w of solar on these...
  • Post in thread: Turning off equipment when battery backup kicks in?

Not sure, it was done by an electrician but we are still NEC 2014 here and it has since been removed and I just set it in there to give you a visual
  • Post in thread: Lv6548 clothes dryer shutdown

I have lead acid bank 5kwh I built it as just a ups system until I can get lipo4s to cycle with. The system is setup with the inverters feeding a sub panel that supplys the whole house. I get no flickering/dimming when you start it or the heat pump. The dryer just shuts off but the timer keeps...
  • Post in thread: MPP-Solar LVX-6048

Im not sure about the hardware side but I know the software won't allow it thats how the make it UL COMPLIANT not LISTED and be aware it is 120v only until you have 2 or more with the 6548
