I was going to order 4 280K from Docan this thread helped me realize what is going on and I ordered 4 280K from 18650batterystore. You are helping many people find out the truth.
Wow I just got my 48 cells from sunfun thinking I was all that and a bag of chips, but 160??
subbed to your thread curious to see how the basen green boxes will work.
Interesting I have some grade A 230 cells from 18650batterystore I will take some pictures of the qr code and post here to see if I see any blurry portion in the middle.
Clearly you don't have either, there is plenty to not like with the dual pole cells:
I asked this a few months ago and never got a striaght answer, it was regarding this video:
So I kept searching and the know-it-all @Alkaline said I was nuts and to check Andy from offgrid garage, well lo...
The price from US location means a good bit more money. I was basically in the same situation as you last month and ended up ordering from overseas, but with a US company and paid with a credit card. This way if anything goes wrong I can get my money back. 18650 would have been $789 more vs...
Ok I think I have everything set! I'm using this heater and a 1500 watt inverter along with the BMS capacity benchmark. Its running now.
Overall the kit was easy to build I think anyone can do it, the only hard parts are the making the cables and crimps.
Have you looked at this:
https://www.sunfunkits.com/product/122/sfk-v4-24v-lf105-eve-cells-kit
As you already are using a JK BMS it could be possibly transplanted into it. They have a heated jacket that may add in helping in the cold climates.
I've been happy with my 12v kit, allowed me to...
These are with there own battery terminal that has a stud in a aluminum base, looks very good and strong nice coverage area for the bus bars. Also they are striaght no bending. A LOT better than the dual pole I got from 18650 store.
I have to say I really like what they are doing with the label...
I just saw this and well this is ridiculous: 280AH cells that are putting out 298AH under a 80amp test:
$950 battery with bluetooth and low temp...
I'm actually now a bit depressed my LF280K grade A can't even hit 280AH. Something is wrong with the LF280K, this company EVE should issue a recall.
I don't take advice form scam artists like ray that go around pitching docan and calling other companies scams mean while:
https://diysolarforum.com/threads/docan-power-bad-experience-beware.61866/post-773779
and then makes videos saying a fake docan is selling counterfeit, swollen cells but...
Tis a shame...
I have had good luck with 18650 store, just ordered my second set of 280K from them. But seeing this makes me think I will probably avoid them. You should be given an entire 4 pcs set shipped to you at no charge.
Those cells look like a health risk, I would not even attempt to...
Hello,
I would like to share with you my battery build, after seeing videos on Nate's DIY youtube I decided to do the same:
I chose cells from 18650batterystore the LF280K grade A, and the standard heated kit V4 with heating.
The total cost for cells was $644 delivered to Virginia and $373...
I purchased there cells based on this video:
The guy showed the AH and WH, also at the time they were the cheapest cells I could find with test reports. So they do show the WH/3.2 is the AH.
If WH / 3.2 is a valid way to get AH then why is this a point of contention? Either its right or wrong.
This is quite interesting, I think this should be moved to the main forums, I have always thought the way to go was AH as well!
Chat GPT is insane you can write whole term papers with it, using it to check for battery questions is genius
I thought everyone knew about Docan, I searched for docan when looking to buy and the 3rd result was that beware Docan thread in the results. Avoided them and went with 18650batterystore instead.
The other 2 companies that have grade A cells are ezeal and sun fun kits. The rest are just selling...
I built the V4 kit with heating from Sun Fun Kits and it went together really well I also made a build thread. I used cells from 18650batterystore but I wished I had used the REPT 280 cells from Sun Fun Kits as the 280K test to around 278 where the REPT are in the 290 range. So overall happy...
Shocking how fellow republicans are not acknowledging this guy. Sharp, self funded, not under the control of a super pac, and is a minority so the wokies already disarmed with the usual racial bs they use to get there point across.
Why is that you have Sun fun kits total cost including shipping but everyone else excluded shipping? If you apply the same cost on all other vendors vendors than
18650 would be $133/ kw including shipping
batteryhookup would be $146/kw including shipping
Sunfun would be $122/kw including...
That's news to me sounds like you are pulling stuff out of your rear. ?I have cells from 18650 and SFK both had test reports 18650 emailed me an excel file and the 48 cells I just got from sfk have all the cell testing data on each cell.
While I don't agree with a lot of what Alkaline says, his...
Ok well I just asked again and after mentioning this thread I got it down to 77.00/cell! So almost $400.00 cheaper(y)
$4782.62 or $99.637 / cell shipped with all the fees.
This is shipped to VA. Not too shabby, I'll contact EVE official store and see what they say.
I built the above kit with cells form 18650, its a nice solid kit but I got the heated one with a 150 BMS and it has switch to turn on/off heating.
I would do that again, but SFK has a new version of the 280K in stock and they are getting 311 AH form it. My 280K from 18650 got 278AH so just make...
