  • Post in thread: Newbie here - planning on going solarin the Philippines

Yeah, I have to look up my old bills to see the monthly consumption over a year. Usually the aircons (inverter) use most of the power, then there's the fridge with inverter and the washing machine. But that's all the "high power" appliances. I haven't looked at solar cells now to see how much...
  • Post in thread: Hi from the Philippines

Hey guys, I live in Cebu-City and after #odetteph I now start to look for solar too. But as Im olderI will go for a readymade system like Bluetti or EcoFlow and just add local solar panels to it.
  • Post in thread: Blue Carbon lifepo4 batteries

Cutoff at 56V and 48 is recommended. You shouldnt go higher than 56 but I set mine to 47 and it works well too. Its 16 cells - so just do the math.
  • Post in thread: Blue Carbon lifepo4 batteries

Mine is set also to charge up to 56V (as its 16 cells each 3.2V) giving 3.5V per cell perfect within specifications. I wouldnt go higher as you will get dangerously close to the cell maximum! Next values is 47V and shutoff at 46V - that runs without problems giving me about 8Kw usable capacity...
  • Post in thread: Has really no one ever tested to get power from sunrise till sunset ?

Like in this video Why South is Not Always the Best Orientation for Solar Panels - YouTube my panels at the moment face east. I generate enough energy to run my aircons AND charge my 10KWh battery. But after 3pm the panels are in the shade and the battery has to power the appliances. The...
  • Post in thread: I miss a "How to expand your Solar Generator with Server Rack batteries"

I just stumbled upon Will's video with Server Rack Batteries and from what I understand these are DIY systems too. They have a BMS already build in, but I found no explanation on how to connect Solar Input for charging and how to connect an inverter to have them put out 220/240V (as I live...
  • Post in thread: How much more WATT do reflectors/mirrors really produce?

I see different videos online using reflectors but as I live in the HOT Philippines my panels will always run at high temperature. I plan on buying 2 450W panels and now ask myself on how much output I can get by adding reflectors. In videos I see they get around 10% more output, but is that...
  • Post in thread: DeltaPro or AC200Max - help me decide pls

I asked Ecoflow exactly that and wait for their answer now. But ok, if the GRID power switches from Bterypowering - then I just use a timerswitch between GRID AC outlet and the DeltaPro. During the night, when I found out how long the batteries last until they reach 20% I just switch to AC...
  • Post in thread: Has really no one ever tested to get power from sunrise till sunset ?

My system is in my video here Finished installing our Solar plant. And it works GREAT! - YouTube 8x 500W panels TrinaSolar. Todays generation was 21.4KW on a nearly cloud free day. Sunrise was 5:42am and at 7:30am we hit the 1.4KW mark and stayed above that until 3pm. So on sunny days I get...
  • Post in thread: Dokio 200W Panel doesnt charge Ecoflow River 2 - what could be wrong?

Took a while to get my multimeter, here are the fotos. The Sun wasn't in a perfect spot but I got around 18.6 Volt. But at 3pm I was only getting between 200 and 600mA Ok I understand that measuring the Amp is probably triggering the short circuit protection (if DOKIO has that build in) But...
  • Post in thread: Which does the EcoFlow Delta PRO handlebetter - overvoltage or overcurrent?

Max values for the Delta Pro are: 1600W solar input, 150V and 15Amp I think I go for 4x 540W in a 2x2 grid. This will outut 100V which is safe and 20Amp, but I guess the build in MPPT will draw at max 15A and if 20A are available it just is lost. But that will only happen at best performance...
  • Post in thread: How much more WATT do reflectors/mirrors really produce?

I will go for 4 540W panels in 12x2 rid -ouput will be 100V and 20A max.The DeltaPro can use 1500W then as its limited to 15Amp input. But thats fine as we use only 750W per hour (460KW/month). So with 4x 540W I hope I get 500+W even on cloudy days and hopefully with reflectors can raise this...
  • Post in thread: DeltaPro or AC200Max - help me decide pls

We better continue in my other thread I started for that https://diysolarforum.com/threads/how-does-the-ups-function-of-ecoflow-delta-pro-affects-solar-charging-and-running-apliances.35282/
  • Post in thread: Dokio 200W Panel doesnt charge Ecoflow River 2 - what could be wrong?

Sadly I don't always have enough time to work with these items, so just be patient - I will try out what you said and ost the info here. ItÄs just at the moment not my top priority - yeah some people can prioritise their lives ... BTW I tried it before without the SAE2SAEconverter but still the...
  • Post in thread: Question on MPPT usage of DEYE 5KW hybrid inverter

My installer wrote me this "Example 6panels in 1 string so 4panels facing east 2panels facing north When sun is in the east, 4panels in east is 100% 2panels in north is 60% the total production of your panels will only 60%. The 100% will down to 60% because of technicalities in electricity."...
  • Post in thread: Which best BMS/Inverter system for non off-grid installation

Ecoflow told me for the Delta Pro that its not good for the board to leave solar charging plugged in while charging with AC. And Hobotech showed in his 2nd DeltaPro video that while AC charging is done it doesnt use the Inverter with 3.6KW Still have no answer from Bluetti. So now I also look...
  • Post in thread: Has really no one ever tested to get power from sunrise till sunset ?

I will upgrade to 6KW solar and 30KW batteries soon, the MPPT can do 120A so I will not loose anything. I just need to find any usefull info if those Bluecarbon batteries can safly used in a vertical position too, like here in the pic.

  • Post in thread: Anyone has experience with LVTOPSUN ?

As I live in the philippines (and neither ecoflow nor Bluetti are a solution here) I need to go with what is on the market here. Now I am told that lvtopsun.com is widly sold and used here but I dont really find reliable information. Does anyone know their products? Maybe tests?
  • Post in thread: Newbie here - planning on going solarin the Philippines

Hello forum, as I live in Cebu-City (Philippines), now with 3weekswithout power after the last typhoon I thin about a long term solution to become more grid independent, but not totally off-grid. I live in a rented townhouse, so a fixed installation is a no-go. Also after the typhoon I realize...
  • Post in thread: Newbie here - planning on going solarin the Philippines

Ok my monthly consumption is around 500KW so 17KW per Day. Mostly from the fridge and the aircons. But its allinverter aircons. The 500KW cost me round 120US$ each month. The new solar generators are big and maybe oversized for what I need? So I also ask, which older model could do the job...
  • Post in thread: Converting a 60V Golfcart to Ecoflow - seems like a good idea?

I contacted them before, unfortuatly the (like many others) only answered that they cannot ship batteries to the philippines. I have no clue why they all tell that but ...
  • Post in thread: Which foldable panels are recommendable?

I live in the Philippines but in a rented townhouse. So I have no way to install fixed panels. And even putting normal panels to the roof would be too difficult as the roofs are way too simple constructed. That's why I think of getting foldable "camping" panels to generate 800W (1000W+ in...
  • Post in thread: Question on MPPT usage of DEYE 5KW hybrid inverter

I put up this as a question in the general forum, as I really cannot believe no one ever checked that out
  • Post in thread: Converting a 60V Golfcart to Ecoflow - seems like a good idea?

Ok I will surley get many people upset about my plan, but hey I dont care. I live in the philippines, and I need a simple, cheap EV that gets me from A to B in the city. So I found the Golf Cart Leisure from Supremo here in Manila. It has 4 wheels which I prefer for stability and with 1500W...
  • Post in thread: Has really no one ever tested to get power from sunrise till sunset ?

Ok 1st thing I live in the philippines and sunrise here is 6am and sunset 6pm (to make it easier). I installed my system 8x 500W panels now facing sunrise and I see that from 7am it already generates 0.5KWh until 3pm when the roof is in the shade and production drops. What I want to change is...
  • Post in thread: Best way to charge a EcoFlow Delta Pro with more than 1600W solar

I will connect 4pcs 540W panel to my Delta Pro as a 2x22 grid with 100V and 20Amp, but with the limit of the DeltaPro to be 15Amp I can charge only with 1500W. Now I ask myself, instead of using Grid power to raise the charging - If I just use a 2KW inverter and connect that to the 220V input -...
  • Post in thread: Newbie here - planning on going solarin the Philippines

I dont realy get the calculations,I dont need much backup as I will fall back to grid power in the first time. If I need 600W over night for 12 hours it adds up to 7200Wh for the battery. To charge the 7200Wh battery in 6 hours sunlight (I guess I get more in the Philippines) I need 1200W solar...
  • Post in thread: Has really no one ever tested to get power from sunrise till sunset ?

I asked DEYE As the 5KW hybrid inverter has 2 MPPT - what will be the combined power if PV1 is feed with 200V 10A and at the same time PV2 is feed only with 160V 3A ? Will that not be 2000W + 480W usable power? Or will PV2 somehow limit the usable amount of power from PV1 and the overall usable...
