Charging and Discharging Current for Parallel Cells

Thanks Ellcon for your reply. There may be a little misunderstanding: I do not have 2 battery packs in parallel, but I have only 1 bank, in which pairs of 280 Ah cells are paralleled and 8 of such pairs are then in series. Does this change the picture?

Charging and Discharging Current for Parallel Cells

Perhaps a stupid beginner question, but could not find the answer yet: My DIY LiFePo bank consists of 16 CATL cells 280Ah, in a 8S2P configuration, creating a bank of 560 Ah at 24V. The cell's data sheet specifies 0.25P as standard charge/discharge current. So is my standard charge current for...

How to low-voltage-disconnect the 24 V loads in addition to the inverter?

I managed to have the Electrodacus SBMS0 switching off my Mastervolt Combi Ultra inverter/charger at the low and high voltage disconnect thresholds configured in the SBMSO. This is done by connecting the respective EXTIO ports of the SBMS0 to the input ports of a Mastervolt "Digital Input"...

setting charge and discharge limits on inverter/charger in addition to BMS

Sometime ago I saw a video from Will in which he mentioned that one should set charge and discharge limits on inverter and charger even when using a BMS. I believe that he stated that the cell level protection by the BMS should just be an additional safety measure beyond the general battery high...

precharge a battery charger like an inverter to avoid sparks?

I learned from Will's video that you should pre-charge an inverter before connecting to the Lithium battery bank, by bridging the negative cable from the inverter to the negative battery pole with a resistor for some seconds. Do I have to do the same with a normal battery charger (fed by 220 V)...
