XUBA used to have PayPal listed on the 280ah listing but I asked Amy about it and she said they don't take it any more because the PayPal fees to the merchant are too high. Yesterday I advised her that when I buy things from Hong Kong or services they often require me to pay the PayPal fees...
it'll be a couple of months. Waiting for lockdown to end here then I'm upgrading to a real off-grid system. I did experiment with mirrors on my home-made panels, and they absolutely boosted power output. I was able to get well over cell rated capacity; I don't remember how much 20% feels right.
Years ago I experimented with mirrors on my home made panels and they really worked to improve power output.
I know it can accelerate the age of panels if you go over 100% rated power but I'm curious has anyone done this large scale?
Soon (after lockdown is over here in the Philippines), I'll be...
I may hop on the Dongguan boat since the surface shipping quote I got for the Philippines from the other company selling these seemed quite high seeing as how we are right next door. Please keep us posted with your testing and such @LukeVader
Will reviews a pretty cool BMS though it only allows 50amps charging.
Anyway, is this the same BMS on Aliexpress?
I'm confused because I don't see a clear manufacturer name in the one Will linked to on ebay but the picture style looks the same and the features seem the same but who knows if it's...
hear hear
I was working with a 48v battery I built from Xuba 120ah cells and have to be extremely careful; I've had the sparks fly a couple of times!
The issue was the horrid screws xuba gave me for these cells (not relevant to this thread about 280s, I got my 280's elsewhere).
@fhorst suggested...
Well the literature put out there by marketing or whoever does not square with almost everyone's comments on this forum I've read about this topic (except you fellas for some reason think it's healthy to hit 100% all the time). I'm not sure why that's important for you but go for it.
I'll...
I only had 1 other seller on Alibaba do something like this. It was MustPower; they charged me their seller fees that they pay to Alibaba.
I was new to alibaba at the time. I never had any company charge me an extra fee for logistics, knowingly that is.
I've bought cells from various vendors...
I have a Must Power hybrid also, and it sure seemed to me like it was feeding the grid as well.
So what I do now is I have the AC line in connected as a plug so I unplug the grid until the inverter beeps haha.
On sunny days I dont need the grid for full 24hour cycle so no beeping.
If it beeps...
another thing I noticed, the manual that came with mine is more up to date than the pdf they have online ... dunno if it's the same with you but dont loose that thing. read it through several times... feel free to ask more questions
Hey so I'm using a Daly 250a smart BMS.
While charging it I have 2 PSU's in series sending it 56v for a 48v system.
What's strange is that the BMS shows MORE power coming in than I am providing..
the BMS is reporting 11.2 amps coming in when the PSUs report 10.43 going out.
Yesterday I saw a...
A friend has a SOFAR hybrid inverter. seems it only allows him to use 1 of 3 manufacturers if he wants to upgrade to Lithium.
There is a generic "Lithium" mode but it wants to communicate on the CAN or RS485 bus with the bmS of the battery or it won't work. Seems they are partners with their...
Wow, no the conclusion I had publicly written up which you conveniently left out for whatever reason was ...
since the scientific literature proves it's bad for the life of the battery to hit 100% consistantly, and good to not go to 0, the guys at battleborn probably have a higher capacity in...
I had this issue also before; I see your post is a couple months ago, I also posted about this here and had no answers as well.
Here is what you do not do; do not contact the factory customer support. They are just horrid. you'll send them all they ask for all the screenshots etc then will not...
I was initially interested in the Chargery but at the time someone here had a nightmare post about their experience (I think a few piled on) so as a newbie at the time I decided "no thanks" and went with an ANT for that system. I'm interested to revisit the Chargery for future systems if their...
So since voltage isn't the best way to indicate SOC with LiFePO4 does anyone know of a BMS which allows protection at x% energy levels (i.e. watt hours)?
I've been considering doing a PIC controlled implementation myself but I'd much rather get something off the shelf if it's not too expensive...
Hey Op., instead of using a PIC couldn't you just have a relay between the batteries that fires if 1 BMS voltage goes to 0 (i.e. the BMS is protecting the battery)?
The aircon you are eyeing uses too much power. Watts = amps * volts so 4.4a * 230v = 1 kwatt. If you've got 2 panels at 327watts that's less than 600watts in optimal condition so you are right; you can't power that AC with those panels.
on your other question, what @gnubie said...
Anyone sharing your experience about cells with the exact same little "authenticity sticker" as the Xuba cells please feel free to share your experience. Since Xuba did not manufacture these cells and the guys in Dunguan did not and they showed up at about the same time for sale... well.. if it...
That's what stinks here, all shipping is practically banned now. SO not only are ALL the stores closed except for grocery (where you have to wait outside for 1-2 hours in the sun as they allow limited numbers inside), but they also stopped the deliveries. At least I can research the stuff and...
I'm trying to find this model here in PH; I know it's been good to you.
When I search daikin's main site they brag about EER 15.8 and SEER 26.1 on their line.
Are you sure the EER rating is in the twenties? I looked at your photos and they say it has a COP (Coefficient of Performance) rating...
I have a few related issues ...
1-I would like to make a DC USB PD charger for a laptop which needs 100w.
House voltage is 48v. Most of our things run on DC, fans, lights, USB charging etc. Is there any special circuitry required or is this as simple as sending 5v over a 20v USB line? I...
