All has been fine for days now. I even lowered the balancing current to 1 amp from the 2 amp. Externally fused at 3 amps now.

Hmm -- overlooked the obvious ... I can put an inline fuse in the external red wire(s) on the cell(s) that I had to jumper in the black box. I'm thinking the glass tube type AGC 2.5 or 3 amp I can only imagine how many of these 'blown fuse' BMS units are piling up and getting tossed out !! Over...

Would anyone consider this surface mount fuse to be a bad design ? When a fuse pops are you really gonna ship it back to China for repair ?

Can you post a photo of your board and where you found any spare fuse links ? Or try to describe how I can be sure I'm not pulling one that's 'in play' Hmm, maybe you are suggesting since I use cells 1 to 17, just steal a link from 18 to 24. I've never gotten any surface mount solder tools...

What is the cause of our 'fusible links' blowing ? Is it fatigue ? Poor design ? Are fuses there to protect the bigger silicon based device(s) ?

I live in Florida, Pasco county. I need the grid to deliver high loads in the summer. But when the grid goes out I do make it with the 42 kw of storage I got here.

The left most pin is B- B1 is next and must go on trace on the other side B2 is 3rd and I don't see any blown characteristics in the photo I will get a meter out tomorrow and see if I see something that way

When I substitute another identical JKBMS unit it shows fine, just this one. It stopped correctly reporting while we were at sea, on a cruise for 9 days.
