Ok just checked the voltages of each battery , the left bank were all lower
so i would say that means the original way i wired , very first image , in my very first

the Ac should be 12 AWG, i thought to myself this is a bit thin , when i used for both
I used lot thicker for connecting the batteries , but no for the lead to charge the batteries from the

So under the floating top board i found a bank of fuses :) they are not like
a car , even though they look like car fuses they are soldered on.
Visual inspection they seem ok , guess i should continuity test them !?
oh what a week ! blew up a charge controller and installing a nebra hotspot as a newbie and
its driving me crazy , as well as learning about antminer cypto mining ...too much learning this week , puffed oot

the solar panels and batteries are still working fine when tested with multimeter
when i attch the following to invertor ....
batteries : nothing
solar input : nothing
AC power : Lcd screen cycles on and off
I was running 4 x12v batteries at 24v all was fine
I have now expanded to 8 x 12v batteries at 24v
and wired like image obtained from the web , all is working fine but im not comfortable with it , is there a better way ?

to save it sitting in a box in the garage for the next ten years.

Just going to rewire just now and spotted a difference between images
although they look similiar
the image i put up, you draw + from top right post
the image mr sandals put up you draw + from bottom right post
any thoughts anyone ?
I bit the bullet and ordered a Victron non smart one
any ideas for cheaper non branded ones im still in the market for more
any leads / ideas appreciated
When im back up and running i wont be playing too much likely 600w or less and will be taking advice from here on the correct wiring , batteries etc ............ in the meantime before i click buy on another unit
the manual is pretty generic to a lot of units , useful if the thing turns on ...

I don,t have a guarantee as i bought second hand and support for

all was well for a while, never saw Voltage go above 36v from memory
the system went POP when i tried to draw too much power
system did not go POP , while i was sleeping , it didnt even go pop 5 minutes before
or 5 minutes after , it went POP when i cranked up the power usage ...
Sooooo what do you guys think of this method .....

Key difference is the charge controller volts in are at
the opposite poles from the load draw

I was drawing 500 watts from battery pack fine for days , then i decided to play , pushed it to 2800 watts power draw and the battery wires melted and that mosfet went POP
nothing dramatic just stopped working
i have the mosfet on order hopefully arrive soon and i will solder it in and see if...
the manual indicated 12 awg , thats what i was using but i was stupid pushing it too far
im also a novice to solar and electrics playing in the garage which is far way from house :)
as i was just testing ( playing ) i hadnt put an inline fuse in it yet
