  • Post in thread: Fortress Envy 12kW inverter

This is just the GSL 12k Inverter Marked up. Nice of fortress power to pretty much takes the same Inverter, put their name on it, and mark it up to twice the price. American Manufacturing is pretty much done. Btw we all thought it was ridiculous for Linotech to mark the same inverter up for...
  • Post in thread: EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

Actually sounds like he is being extremely dishonest: Buy 3 units from an authorized distributor for "testing purposes." Pretend you have at least a container of these units in stock (essentially act you yourself are an authorized distributor, even though you had demurred when the opportunity...
  • Post in thread: New Battleborn "Lithium Power Pack 6500" for $9,999

I'm going to make a prediction here. Battleborn will not be around in this current form in another 5 years. They will either become a full blown reseller of solar components or they will shut down altogether.
  • Post in thread: Got Busted by Electrical Power Police..Now Need help with Permits

Can someone explain what is the point of tying to grid anyway without an agreement? If you're looking to offset your bill just run your loads off grid that way you don't get charged for the portion you don't use from your utility. Trying to tie to grid, even if its just for a test seems to be...
  • Post in thread: House burned down

This makes me think: One cell leaked/shorted, the resulting fuse blow from excess current arced and ignited the gasses from the cell leak and that's what caused the fire, not the fuse itself.
  • Post in thread: ground mount installation questions

Sounds like the company is trying to put you in debt for $122,400 + Interest. Look into doing small DIY units and then once you've understood the concepts, you will probably be able to do the majority of your 32kw system yourself for a quarter of the price.
  • Post in thread: EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

The regular luxpower version of this is whisper quiet until you start getting 6kw of use, then it starts humming. Even then it humming significantly quieter than the LVX6048WP with the latest firmware at idle.
  • Post in thread: Unboxing of Deye 16K Hybrid Inverter

Sounds like you have future business selling 16k Deye inverters in mainlan...ahem...Puerto rico. ?
  • Post in thread: Luxpower hybrid inverter technical support

Can you check with your technical department to see if there is a possibility of updating firmware to accommodate people who have non 48v nominal batteries. For people who have been using Schneider units who have batteries that get up to 64v. For example 18s lifepo4 batteries can be charged up...
  • Post in thread: Too many projects, now where did I put that...

What keeps disappearing on me are my utility knives. Have lost 4 in the last year an half. I keep having the urge the find them, but whenever i go to the home improvement store I buy a different brand in hope that a different color will make it easier to find. So far none of them have shown back...
  • Post in thread: New All in One: MPP LVX6048WP (UL certified)

So the first batch of LVX6048WP's sold had a couple of problems with regard to the generator issue: 1.) The generator input was acting as an output, and extremely dangerous situation that everyone who bought one should have been alerted to. 2.) You could bypass the first issue and use the grid...
  • Post in thread: Midnite Solar Rosie on sale

I'm in complete agreement. . I have 75kwh of battery modules that when fully charged has voltage at 64.8. I don't want to have to break down the battery just to get down to the voltage that the 18kpv and all the other AIO's require. I also have 20kw of the regular 16s batteries from SOK and...
  • Post in thread: Battleborn vs Epoch Batteries (thread migration)

At this point, Battleborn is relying on ignorance and/or loyalty. It certainly has not been demonstrated that they have a superior product
  • Post in thread: Getting a 3 Schneider XW's in parallel to do maximum AC passthough

It's just ridiculous how Schneider has such good products but you have multiple different expensive components 3 XWPRO's for $10,485, Schneider charge controller for 1500, Schneider PDP for $1138 probably need 3 of these, Schneider backup control switch for $2300. By the time you gather all...
  • Post in thread: Anyone use the Tigo inverter?

The inverter requires high voltage batteries. Minimum 360vdc to max 550v batteries. If you have high voltage batteries or you don't mind putting a ton of 48v batteries in series, and you don't mind working with HV. Then it's a good buy, otherwise I'd stay away from it.
  • Post in thread: New Lux Power LXP-LB-US 12k / GSL-H-12KLV-US with 200A AC Passthrough Current (US Market)

I think Outlaw was being sarcastic, he is ribbing Robby because apparently what he wants to do is run down any unit that might be competition to Sol-Ark.
  • Post in thread: New Lux Power LXP-LB-US 12k / GSL-H-12KLV-US with 200A AC Passthrough Current (US Market)

I'd also like to know the idle consumption on these.
  • Post in thread: Midnite Solar Rosie on sale

LOL, I work night shifts. Just happened to be browsing the forums at work at the time.
  • Post in thread: Seems MPP dropped a new inverter...a split phase 10KW

I think he is slowly selling off all of his MPP solar inverters. You can see with the fact that even he is selling his LV6548's -which have historically been the most reliable of these inverters- at a discounted rate. He is selling off as much inventory as he can and not putting up any new units...
  • Post in thread: Repurposed harrows to adjustable tilt ground mount

Do you have, or could you make a video of the you adjusting it?
  • Post in thread: 200A Manual Transfer Switch?

Interesting, 3 questions: 1. I thought generac's auto transfer switches were proprietary, in that it wouldn't work unless it detects a generac generator or some other generac product? 2. The one you have "rigged-up" would it transfer automatically if you want it to? 3. How complicated is...
  • Post in thread: Seems MPP dropped a new inverter...a split phase 10KW

Which Sol-ark is this 12k or 15k? I'm asking because there is a video on youtube describing this same issue. I felt bad for the guy. After spending all that money or what is supposedly top tier equipment. You're stuck with a ridiculous unit. Here is the video
  • Post in thread: Victron 48/5000 x2 or eg4 18kpv: which one are you choosing?

lol, missed out on the 2x initial thread, my bad
  • Post in thread: Jakiper Customer Service

Glad to hear that, It would be better if it was included, but this is a great improvement, looking forward to it.
  • Post in thread: 53k quote for a 14.4kw system, now looking at diy

Yeah, similar to system I'm going to get done. Will cost about $12,000 to $15,000 depending on the components I would get. An installer wanted to Charge me $30,000 to $40,000. Yeah I know they have to make a profit, but they are not entitled to a killing. Which is what they all seem to want to do.
  • Post in thread: Voc much higher than specified on the back

Sounds like you are having mini-arcs in your system. Lucky they're only producing 55Volt arcs although that is still dangerous. just from this, it sound like your meter might not be a problem, but the panel itself. Absolutely do not try to put in series or parallel with any other of your...

  • Post in thread: New 10kw NHX AIO From Watts247

Yeah, I'm not buying these specs. Hopefully someone gets to try it out. If they're lying about this, I'd bet on this unit being a nightmare.
  • Post in thread: New All in One: MPP LVX6048WP (UL certified)

if you have enough money to buy 4 of the WP's at $2200 a piece you might as well buy a Sol-ark 15k and save yourself the headaches and poor CS associated with this inverter.
  • Post in thread: What’s the smart move here?

Here are 2 units that you can trust the current rating on and use copper as opposed to brass hidden under nickel like a majority of the Amazon versions seem to do: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08JKXKF3Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1...
