They are wired in series. I'm looking to have 48v system. All running through a combiner box, 6 string.

I have 6x100w panels in one string...all together there is 4 of them

2400w ÷ 48v = 50a, so just 1 will be plenty. The VoC and arrangement of the panels matters though, those controllers only support 150v.
