Hey everyone I finally got my BMS in my 16S battery installed and I’m looking for the safe settings for a 16S EVE 230ah configuration, any chance someone could share their settings?
I don’t think I did. I caught it when one of my cells was 2.5V. I’m not going to lose sleep over it but I was pissed.
If 2.7 and 2.75 don’t do anything, it’s garbage.
I found that I can click on the BMS read at the top left which filled in a lot of the parameters that I was then able to edit, but now when I click BMS write, it gives me an error:
Error
Value check for 'Cycle Count' failed.
Reason: value is less or equal to 0
No Idea where I can change this...
Okay.
So I'm working with eight 230 amp hour Eve cells.
I have a 4S BMS which I would like to wire with the cells, I would like there to be four sets of two cells and I want to wire each set of two cells as parallel so each set of two cells becomes one of 460 amp hours. I have attached a photo...
Hey there,
I currently have 16s of 3.2V EVE LIFEpo4 cells, I am wondering if it is okay to charge them in series to bring them up to around 80-90% and then disconnect and do a top balance on the 4 sets of 4 cells? Is this an okay way to do things? And what voltage should I keep my bench power...
Thank you all for your input! I'll follow your advice!
A quick question, as I am making a 48V battery pack, how do I power some 12V fans that are cooling the case? Is it okay to connect to 4 cells only or will this throw the cells out of balance?
I already have them in a compression case and they're heavy as. Is laziness the right answer? To get in parallel I'll have to loosen them and they're already in a pelican case.
Hey there,
If I am creating two separate 24V 230ah batteries using EVE cells and have two 8S JBD BMS, one in each battery, is it okay to combine the two 24V batteries to produce 48V? Is this problematic?
Awesome, I'll wait until the JBD 16S comes and plug it in according to manual and bring it up closer to what it needs to be, what is considered around 90% full with a 16S pack so that I don't go too far and I leave enough room to top balance?
How hard is it to install an electro Daucus? Is it fairly straightforward like does it have the same little 16 S cable connector as say a JBD.
Anything crazy about it? What kind of software do I use to monitor it? Can I use an iPhone app
If not is there a Mac app
Hi guys! I have a brand new in box Victron inverter for sale, it’s the second one I have and it has not been used.
I can do the transaction on eBay or PayPal and I am located in New Brunswick Canada, but can ship to anywhere within US/Canada
My asking price is $1699 CAD which equates to 1281...
https://srikobatteries.com/product/jk-smart-active-balance-bms-board-7s-20s-120a-0-6a-balance-current/
This BMS, ordered it, installed it, BMS turns on and it shows all cells and lets power through, but what blows my mind, is if the cell voltage meets the minimum or maximum cell voltage, the...
I'm looking to make a future proof system and am working with 16 230ah EVE cells,
I don't want a ridiculously huge case that weighs 140 lbs as I will be moving provinces up here in Canada
That's why I'm wondering if I can make two 70 lb pelican cases into batteries and it'll be easier to...
So this would mean I would have two packages of 16 cells, each 48V 230AH, totalling 48v 460ah, correct?
But the same will not apply if I have two packages of 8 cells and then connect the positive and negative leads in series?
Hi guys,
I just want a simple answer. I have an active balancer that has the run leads soldered. I want to solder those leads apart and put them to a relay or a switch or something so that it turns on when the voltage of my 48v pack reaches 54.4. When it does, it will turn on the balancer and...
Yes, I will use a labeller to ensure that the batteries are labelled (Pack #1 Part #1, Pack #1 Part #2) etc.
Can you link me this connector that you speak of for managing the BMS wires between two separate cases?
Yes, wheels on one large box might actually be the easiest depending on how much the connectors TorC mentioned are, and also it might be easier for a first build. What models of BMS are verified to have two sense lead connectors?
Is it okay that my max cell voltage is 3.365V? I keep charging the batteries but the highest they want to go to is 3.365V, Is this normal as the datasheet says the max voltage should be 3.65 but my BMS is saying 3.365?
Ahhh, I get it, the packs are in two cell couples, 32 total, that would be fine, but the whole goal is to keep the weight of each package less, as 144 lbs is too heavy.
Yes, two separate cases with 8 cells each at 24v, connected in series to make 48v, what kind of BMS will work for this?
Would...
