Mini with a programmable stat is the way to go. You could add solar later if budget is a concern. If they have adequate cooling now just the stat would work.
I'm new here with little to no experience with solar. This discussion seems to be off the rails.
I'll offer my opinion to the OP. It's your money do what you want with it! As a licensed HVAC, Refrigeration and electrical contractor, you will likely not be repairing any of it yourself. If your...
Ground source has been around since the 70's.
Some of this other stuff not so much.
That's the reason why I think it stays. I want to see with some of the "new" technology. Although a new refrigerant development can change things.
This is old thinking/Engineering. Many in floor and radiant systems don't use over 120F now.
Pool heaters are notoriously poor quality units and generally lack efficiency.
If you want in floor choose a ground source heat pump. With the right engineering you can achieve similar or better efficiency than mini splits. @Steve_S is right on the Vermont group. They have been around a long time and are very helpful.
I don't believe the AH setting has any effect.
Do you have control of the Victron charger?
Try 13.8 since you are at 13.5 now. You should enable balance at 13.6.
RV industry doesn't make any of this. They assemble parts that are designed elsewhere. The buyers don't demand anything but less cost. Will that change? I think it has already to some degree. But that market is even smaller.
Several years ago a study showed that new home buyers used 3 times the...
There are devices that would help manage this.
It is not advisable to do this. In nearly every case you will need to rebalance every battery. If you like tinkering maybe it's for you but it's more trouble than it's worth.
JMHO There are probably some who might react negatively a large number, I don't think so. Standard installation practices should take care of it.
I have worked around electrical fields all my life and don't have any ill effects from them.
There are people who don't do well around the noise of...
What Chinese manufacturer are you working with for your equipment? Here in the Midwest our horizontal loops are 5-6 feet deep 100 to 125 feet long. We have mostly moist clay soil. Makes for pretty good heat transfer.
@Madcodger
This is how most industry/manufacturers work. Private Label is the goto model. For cheap prices you have to have economy of scale otherwise all prices go up.
The market for everything is buyer beware spend money and learn. Education is expensive. I would never buy the pre-made line...
With all the talk of 240 volt well pumps. Is there any reason people are not going to the variable speed pumps? It would take the starting amps way down
The PD 55 is separate from the alternator.
Alternator charges chassis batteries.
PD 55 charges house batteries.
Some motor homes have a relay that allows the alternator to charge house batteries while running.
The PD 55 charges when connected to shore power.
