So, the question is, can I use 24v breakers on each battery and then serial connect them all. wont that breaker always “see” less than 24v? wont that breaker need to extinguish <24v arc? if all breaker work together?

  • Post in thread: Silicone wire on your solar system setup

Well, Well, I Stand in between you guys. @sirslayer I would take the max at half the rating. 6awg = 150 A I have tested extensively silicone 8 awg up to 150 amps, and I would not go past 100 amps which is half its rating. It gets too hot, meaning resistance is High. Ohms Law. In short runs <...

  • Post in thread: Eaton 9390 75kVA UPS

LifePo4 Uses same voltage than Lead Acid. Im installing a APC 30KVA now, with LFP 192 Volts. No BMS exists for that. Fuses and Breakers. Worst Case, the high Voltage Fries the Cells. No Major issue to surroundings.

  • Post in thread: larger battery replacement for rackmount ups

Battleborn guidance is: 3.4 v per cel is recommended for Float charge. They say that it will balance the voltage and will not move current. They will honor their 10 yr warranty with the float charge.
