Just replaced a JK Bms for a spare one and the SOC is totally not right. I know that because the other one in parralel is pretty accurate. Every cycle it gets better. After a couple of charges (to full), it will give you the right SOC. Depending on how often you hit 100% it can take some time.

I use Victron Lynx power in. Not very expensive (you get 2 busbars in one case). It helps you to build a clean installation. Also if you want to add more to your system, it provides some flexibility. Maybe not necessary, but i would definitely go for busbars.

What you want is fine, but you still might want one shared bank. I had a setup like you described but changed it by paralleling the batteries in one large bank. Paralleling the batteries, effectively make one large battery, and connect the inverters/chargers to this large battery could be more...

Indeed getting matching fuses is important. I found out the hard way :)

I purchased the Blue Sea fuse block with matching fuses. For your reference I added a couple of pictures that show the differences between the two kinds.

Had those as well. They might be perfectly fine. However after comparing these fuses with other class-t fuses, I replaced them. The fuse block and the fuses themselves are just a world of difference compared to other class-t fuses and blocks. These ones are small and flimsy.

You are right. A balancer does not make any sence to add to batteries in parallel.

It doesn't have to be much higher than 3.45. I charge to 55.8 (3.48) per cell. Absorbtion is 30 minutes and usually there is a deviation at the end of absorbtion, smaller than 5Mv. I use B-Gade REPT cells and have approx 200 cycles.

It is my understanding that some Voltronic inverters (like mpp solar pipMax) do deliver back very small amounts, even if not reported in de app/SA.

I would not use that battery. That's over 4 volts per cell and ready to fail.

Thanks, couldn't find that in the documentation from JK. To be on the safe site, I think Ill get one that allows 12v DC, as control voltage. Only consequence, in that case, is that I need to get a dc to dc stepdown converter as well. 12volts sounds much safer anyway. ..
