I am coming from lead acid sizing, I think I see my flawed way of looking at this. I do not need to reach full charge every few days. Just was looking at recommended charge rate of 25 amps, 1kw of PV is almost that.

Depending on time of year, I am not going to get that much sun and our usage is pretty low (2500 watt hours a day) at most unless using future A/C load which will be used mainly during daylight hours. No grid, minimal gennie use.

That is correct, 8- 535 watt panels, 6 installed at this time, the other 2 will be installed when time and weather permits.

I want to get another one at this price but I do not think I have enough PV. I would like to keep at least 1kw per 50 amp hour battery.

I was also considering individual breakers for each battery, nice to have individual over current and disconnects.
