I am coming from lead acid sizing, I think I see my flawed way of looking at this. I do not need to reach full charge every few days. Just was looking at recommended charge rate of 25 amps, 1kw of PV is almost that.

Depending on time of year, I am not going to get that much sun and our usage is pretty low (2500 watt hours a day) at most unless using future A/C load which will be used mainly during daylight hours. No grid, minimal gennie use.

That is correct, 8- 535 watt panels, 6 installed at this time, the other 2 will be installed when time and weather permits.

Great story, I do not think the batteries in question are Nickel Iron type or Edison cells. They do indeed look like Aquion batteries, which have a Salt water electrolyte.

I have a stable of propane powered Onan LK 2500 1800 RPM gensets with a nice weather enclosure. My old Trace PS2512 had no problem with it, I know my AIO would not like it as it does not like my Yamaha EF1000 which is pretty stable for a non inverter type.

The easy solution was to remove another breaker blank (two total) and install a Siemens breaker blank, it fit perfect.

Is there a readily available breaker blank I can use in my Midnite Solar MNPV3 combiner? I would like to use it as a junction box only and blank out the breaker location. I think maybe a Square D homeline might work but unable to verify.

A quick glance at the NEC, article 350.12 Uses not permitted, LFMC shall not be used where subject to physical damage. I guess the AHJ decides that? We typically use it for flexibility at motors for ease of replacement.

I agree with your response PV girl, but can you define "subject to physical damage " ? It is not in article 100 last I looked. Everything is subject to physical damage.
