EDITED: I have been told by different people not to solder cable lugs. I just was shown by a forum member that I should tin my connections after crimping. I know absolutely nothing about the subject. I would like to hear everyone's opinion that knows. Thanks ahead of time.
Update: received a new BB 12/10/19 at 9:15 PM, Yes Fedex delivers that late apparently. Terminals look good on the new battery. I returned the other one yesterday. Thanks for everyone's help.
Actually, I was mistaken. My SCC is 50 Amps, not 30A like your 1st diagram, and I will be adding the 3rd (starting) battery, so a lot more possible left on table. I won't know until I finish my project and get it in the vehicle...I'd rather have too much than too little any day. 8-)
Since you have experience with these, do you know if its possible to change out the tires to....I forget what they're called, the ones that don't puncture?
Thank you and your wife for trying to teach and help some of us who want to learn @JeepHammer and MrsJeepHammer. You are right about Will Prowse being a natural teacher and a great one at that! :-) MANY thanks to him. For me, this isn't a hobby or therapy. I NEED to leave sticks and bricks...
I didn't say anything about OP buying a Battleborn, I just said it weighs a lot less than the generator by 15+ pounds because you said generator weighed less than a battery. Good idea about the generator.
Wow! Thanks Bob! I've been on Ebay, but I couldn't find them so THANKS! I don't need 10 pairs, but...it may be my only option, so that's okay. Thank you again!!!
I hope this doesn't upset you, but I am considering buying a manual hand-grinder - have you considered that? They sell them on Ebay or elsewhere? Seems a little therapeutic to me, LOL.
