Turns out most inverter/chargers have this option, but It is not listed in the specs. The trick is to download the manual & look at the actual settings. I looked at several & decided on a Renogy 48v 3500w unit.

I believe it requires 60a.

This is ground mounted 6' up so charger is under array with only 4' of 6 ga stranded copper. Sounds like 48v is best for 48v battery config.

So if not in use, it would be better to short them out than leave the connectors hanging?

I have some 13 year old panels that have been exposed to the sun but not connected for several years. Would they be the same as those in constant use? How about if they were stored out of the sun but still the same age?

That sounds like what I need to do but I need a 48v inverter 3 or 4 kw that does this. Does Victron make these?

I need to buy 48v charger/inverter support a 400w load that will cut off before ac voltage drops below 110v & cut back on at 1 or 2 vdc greater with no beeping, only switching. It can be preset or user defined, but this speck is not listed that I can find. What is the deal here?
