I've been on the phone with tech from Schneider, for the last couple of days. Everything is tweaked to perfection. Or as close as its going to get.
I think I was expecting more than this setup can deliver. I still have to upgrade the firmware on the three EG4 V1 batteries and get the BMS running...
Alright Ya kind talked me into this guy. I really need this inverter to be hands free. I've been checking out Node Red, have it installed on my lapper.
About to order a 4G Raspberry Pi from Amazon. Wish me luck. I predict lots of questions. So, what I'm thinking is having the grid peak load...
I have a 5k solar array, every evening at last light the Inverter switches from sell to grid to ac pass thru. And batteries switch from discharge to standby. It will remain there until I do a bulk charge the next day. Utilizing a scp. Have a schinder mppt 100/600 charge controller. With 9 EG4 48...
Thanks for all the help, it's greatly appreciated. Ok I set my grid support voltage to 52 volts, or what would you suggest. I will change my battery type to custom. But my issue is I have two different eg4 battery types. I have 3 eg4 LL version 1, and 6 eg4 LL version 2. Which battery specs do I...
Also included are two additional screen shots, the XW shows live data always changing. The MPPT data is frozen, never changed since yesterday. MPPT status indicates Bulk Charge. Maybe that's why my dashboard shows nothing being generated from the PV array. Should I turn this Manual Aux to...
But I'll have two different arrays, one for each inverter, total 9kw. Can I push power back into the XWPRO from the AC critical loads panel coming from the SMA without harming it? I think I would be better off, connecting both inverters to AC1 main panel. If the SMA is connected to the AC...
OK so here what's happening today. AC1 power off, house runs off batteries. (As it should) AC1 power on, it goes into bulk charge. once fully charged, it will stay in the absorption. making very little PV power, but it's not going anywhere. Inverter AC passthrough. I called Schneider tech help...
I guess I was Interpeting this sell block times wrong. If they would remove the word block, it would make more sense to me. Sell start-sell stop.
So again, I changed my Sell Block timers. Start 8:00 am, Stop 4:00pm. So, this way I'm only selling during the day? correct.
Thanks, BentlyJ I control my system with a SCP, I just ordered an Insight Home. Should be here next week.
OK I made all changes, here is what happened.
XWPRO status (grid Support), xwpro inverting 170kw, load is 2259kw, batteries are at 53v fully charged in discharge. Why isn't the inverter...
Ideally the purpose of the battery bank would be to power my home night and day, to get recharged every morning by solar. Any leftover would be sold back to the grid. We are on net metering for another 19 months here and I want to take advantage of this while I can. Then maybe go to a ac coupled...
n2aws, do you think I should set up my recharge voltage on a timer, e.g. to go on every evening for a set time. Or can it be programed through Voltage Recharge to enter a bulk charge when needed. But then would I also have to also program it to turn off Grid Peak Load shave so it can do a bulk...
Yes, every component has the latest firmware update. I have a clamp on amp meter, it's just a little cramped in the MPPT encloser. I thought a voltage reading would be ok too. The recharge voltage is set to 51v
XW PRO, turns out I don't need the SCP anymore. Funny thing though in the MPPT 100 manual it references to the SCP, In the XW PRO manual it references the Insight Home. Thats why I thought I could use both, one on both sides of the system.
OK I made the changes grid support at 53.5, load shave amps to 0, Same as before, batterie's go into standby, inverter stops inverting.
Battery voltage is at 52.9 now. It seems I have to keep grid support voltage below Battery voltage.
Or should I enable load shave, put the load shave amps back...
OK I disabled load shave, and the inverter is inverting what the house needs from the batteries, nothing is being used or sent to the grid. But the PV power is still not being utilized.
Good so far
So where would I hook 9kw to. Both inverters would be maxed out. I would have to keep the charge controller for the XW-PRO. And have the SMA feed directly Into AC1.
I was told that the correct setting for this is my PV max output 5000w divided by 240v. Which is 20a.
Yes I want to power the critical loads panel. Pv output 5000w divided by 240v equals 20a
Thank you for all your help my local tech must be on vacation, as I cannot reach him.
