sometimes its a simple fix, just by logging out and in after adding the protocol or reinstalling the protocol from scratch.

i am no expert in this but have experienced a similar problem and it was down to user (me!!) error !

can you share your experience please, as it helps us all, and i def need help at the moment, as my battery isnt charging even though i havent made any changes, it just seemed to stop when it got very cold and hasnt started up since LOL - ive just installed a heater etc to see if that makes a difference.

Sorry only just seen your post

Have now got CAN communications working

I keep my batteries at around 18 deg c

Everything is working fine now, not sure why it didn't charge for one night, but seems to be ok. I've now insulated the battery and attached a heater for use in reptile tanks to the case (inside the insulation)

Can I ask what cable you used to connect to the Seplos Unit? The one Fogstar supplied is not compatable with the V3.0 BMS

I too fell foul of this problem with the v3 BMS - and with no user manuals supplied took FAR longer than it should have to build the Seplos 280L battery with 16x Envision Grade B 305Ah batteries.
After (a lot) of googling last couple of days, I took a punt and ordered a Waveshare Industrial USB to RS485 Converter Adapter with original CH343G and LEDs to show TXD and RXD back from the BMS.
I then made my own RJ45 Cat5 cable with the 3 wire RS485 connections at the adapter end. Got this working late couple of nights ago - and with a load more googling eventually found the password for BMS software too (000000) so I can set some parameters!
Let me know if you need any further info that may help!

Set my first seplos BMS V3 and got no info Google gave snippets. My rs485 to usb works on my different bms versions. Still pretty new to the V3 way.
