Hi I’m brand new to solar and am just now beginning to build a system. I just purchased a 12000 btu Rheem mini split heat pump and was wondering if it is feasible to run it with Solar power?
Thank you

So the answer is -- YES ... with that said you will now need to back your requirements into the voltage and amperage that you feel that this requires ...

meaning -- if you live in South Texas where our days are already in the lower 90's and we literally are starting to run our A/Cs 24/7 .. then our requirements for much more solar panels and battery storage will be higher/greater than if you are in Wisconsin ...

does that make sense ...

BUT YES .... we run dozens and dozens of our mini-splits off of pure solar ....
