setting APL vs UPS

Can anyone explain the setting for APL or UPS? It seems to be in UPS mode the transfer time is less than APL mode. Is this true?
When my AC kicks on, my inverters jump to Hybrid mode (from battery mode) for about 45s, this jump causes some sensitive devices to restart. When the inverters go back to Battery mode it happens again. Is there a way to eliminate this problem?

I put all mine in UPS mode for the fastest switch over. But I've never tested to see whether it is actually faster. What is your inverter model?

I have 2 EG4 6000EX in parallel.

Do you have any issues when your AC kicks on?

UPS is faster because inverter is always on AC -> DC but it consumes more power for me like 200W extra
