Replacing SG6548 with EG4 6000XP would you remove the exiting battery breaker

I am swapping my SG6548 for a EG4 6000XP to get the 240V distribution I now need. My question is about whether I should remove and redo the positive battery wire breaker and just rely on the 6000 XP's internal breaker. I have the Nader 200A breaker already configured in between the positive bus bar to the existing inverter. If I don't remove it my swap is essentially plug and play on the DC side, if I remove it, I will probably have to replace the positive battery lead to maintain equal lengths from the bus bar.

If anyone has an opinion, please share.

Thank You

Ultimately I would say "it's up to you".

I would probably leave it in but that would be in case I have to do any replacements/swapping in the future. The breaker in the inverter only isolates the inverter from the DC power supply. It doesn't make things safe for you to remove the battery cables from the inverter.

Adam,

Point taken on where the battery voltage actually is -- I think keeping will make opening the box for whatever reason safer if I am able to turn off the battery from the outside. Thanks -- I really appreciate all of your videos they have been very helpful with my DIY project.

I have a T-class fuse and switch between my battery bank and the inverter. I feel having something at the battery bank improves safety.
