An entire semi truck load of panels that are nearly 6 feet tall, 250-350W

An entire semi truck load of inverters, meters, combiner boxes, etc.
So much I can't even inventory most of it.

This most definitely is NOT the 'Hobby' stuff, all high end panels, high end, but older inverters, all brand new from a solar installer bankruptcy.

When I figure out what I want, and what the Disabled Vets can use, I'll be putting this stuff on the Vendors 'For Sale' section, I'll give the users of the forum first crack at the excess.

If you don't know what 'New Old Stock' (NOS), or you don't need a whole home inverter (240Vac), or you aren't interested in a large controller/inverter, it won't make a difference.

I'm NOT selling anything (yet), just wanted to show this stuff off a little, so please don't bombard me with requests for 1 or 2 panels, they are too big to commonly ship and I don't even have an inventory yet, it's all bulk in trucks at this point...

Now THIS is a project, a curse ?, an adventure .... someone gonna be busy ! hehehe. Hey maybe get a couple of fellow vets you know to pitch in, many hands can make quick work... alright, quicker, as long as you stay out of the grog ! ;)

I NEED a drink!
Getting all this stuff loaded and back to Indiana damn near killed my old, broken butt down...

What I need is someone local that's young and strong, want's a solar system and is willing to work for it.
If they wanted a solar system, I would't have to tell them how expensive this stuff is, or how easily you can break it...

It's going to be truck freight shipping for sure, so I think I'll do it in kits.
Even at 1/2 retail it will scare the 'Hobby' guys off, and no sense in wasting the shipping, get panels, inverter, meters, disconnects all on one delivery...

I'm pretty impressed with the inverters, they are almost all outdoor rated from US companies, the kind you pay through the nose for and you aren't buying from 'Dead Fish Beauty Supplies' in china and waiting two or three months...
If they are serious, and understand NOS/storage rub/dirt marks, then it will be a hell of a deal on whole house systems.
Comes on a skid, lasts 20+ years, still has full manufacturer's warranty, figure out your racks/mounts and be done with it.

If it doesn't sell, I'll just get with the local electricians & contractors and it will go quick on new construction since it still has full manufacturers warranty...

That's crazy-amazing!

The first install will be a vet down the road.
Two Bronze stars, a Silver star, a dead son in the sandbox, and he lives in a travel trailer under a metal barn lean-to roof that faces directly south...
And the current administration just cut his disability AGAIN this year while the rural electric company just got a 9% increase in rates...

I'm not going to miss one of the few china made inverters and some of the lower watt panels, and I talked to the local electrician just a minute ago about the install, and he'll do it for free.
Now, we just have to figure out panel racks for that pole barn metal roof and someone to do it...

That is awesome! My Dad passed away last spring, and he was a disabled vet. I'm really impressed by what you are doing.

I would also probably like to buy some things from you as I am setting up two systems from 20 265w panels. If I were near you, I'd definitely come help for some goodies!

HERE is the link to the Inventory List JH got started on with some prices he attached. WOWSERS !

I saw in your other thread you were in Washington IN. If I were there I'd do it for a Jim's Hot Fish sandwich :)

Whoof! 585Mi away... about 10 hour drive... hotel, um... eats up a weekend...

Take lotsa pictures.

Jim's hasn't been around since I was in highschool, so you are my age!
The BEST fish sandwich anywhere!
The White Steamer is still here, and still makes burgers that clog veins on contact, just stupid good.

Nice load(s)! The good stuff..... it matters. No hong kong fuey it looks like. I may be available for assistance on a vet install. Dude, power company hets a hike and vets get a demerit...... wtf.

I'm not very smart...
My grandpa always said when you can't do something smart, do something right.

I try to do the right thing...
He's getting 235W panels with bent frame edges and paint rubs, one of the better 'China' inverters and all associated hardware.
The electrician was here this morning and found a guy to put racking on the pole barn roof, we sorted through and got everything needed with exception of some wire and a few pieces of conduit...

The electrician knows someone at the power company, so the net metering is getting expedited, said about 2 weeks.
That's the fastest I've ever heard of anyone getting net metering in Indiana, it's usually a 3 month process.

My wife made apple pies last night, we are going out tomorrow morning to give him the new, and an apple pie.
A vet or any disabled person in America should never have to choose between medication, food and keeping from freezing to death in the winter...

Might sound naff, but...
You know, you read that much sh1t on forums(not this one...lol) and over the net in general, that it does the heart good to read something like this. Sort of restores ones faith in mankind.
Will P is onto something special with this forum and the majority of contributors in general.

It's something I'd have to discount so deeply since it's scratch & dent I'm not going to make anything off it, so why not do some good?
I'm not going to miss a one of, small grid tie inverter that was out of the box, the panels might have made something but they are under the output of what I listed, and they have rubbed paint and a few dings from being moved around from warehouse to warehouse for 3 years,
I don't think I'll miss them, I can make my money back without them...

Everyone knows the guy, he raised 3 kids with one foot and most of his left hand missing, never a bad word to anyone, always helpful, just hit hard times now that age has caught up with him, so why not?
He lost a son in Iraq which kind of broke him even if the disability and age hadn't caught up with him...

Some company, some stuff, some lowered bills in this world of every increasing cost.
Besides, if he's brave enough to eat my wife's pie crust, that's worth something for entertainment right there! ;)
