Has anyone ever been successful bringing a low cell back to life?

Good News! They sent me a 10A 3.65v charger. Let that run on the cell for about 30 min and the voltage level came back up to around 2800mV. For the past week I have been letting the growatt 12kW inverter charge the battery, so far the cell has been a bit below the others but its within 100mV...

Has anyone ever been successful bringing a low cell back to life?

Have a 1st gen Jakiper 48v 100aH server rack battery. Never cycled the battery. I believe it was racieved at 50% charge. Now after some time the inverter is hooked up and ready to go now it shows a low cell UVP. It's in the ~300mV range. Asked the manufacturer for a replacement cell, but they...

48v Jakiper with one low cell UVP

OK, so the battery company got back to me. They said it will be easier to charge the cell back with a "cell charger". I hardly know enough about battery chemistry to know if what they are saying is accurate or even worth the time, but it seems they are willing to send me one so Ill give it a try!

48v Jakiper with one low cell UVP

I cannot seem to locate the same size cell in terms of dimensional height(LxWxH). What I can find is, 3.6V, 105aH, Same width, 1.5in x 5in, but the height is shorter than what I have. Looks like my cells are 10in in height. I have contacted manufacturer with no avail. Maybe I can pull the cell...

48v Jakiper with one low cell UVP

Verified the mV of one cell is 170. Not sure how that happened. The batteries where fine when I recieved them. Is if acceptable to release the bus bars to the pack, and remove it? Maybe the manufacturer can send me a replacement or I can find one online somewhere..

48v Jakiper with one low cell UVP

OK, multimeter ready, can the pack be measured without removing the bars connecting the terminals or do they have to be removed? I think my father in law has a power supply that can be utilized.

48v Jakiper with one low cell UVP

Managed to run a charging cycle on 2 out of 3 of these 1st generation Jakiper batteries that have been sitting here for over a year... Long story short. One of them has a low cell, so the UVP fault is preventing charging to occur. It's very low, according to the bms software it's reading 248mV...

JAKIPER48V100aH Please help with BMS software?

UPDATE: I got connection with batteries. Inverter protocol is set to pace. I need growatt 485 or pylon485 with a Growatt12kw ? When I try to change the interter protocol the program gives "write error!". Now what does that indicate. I cannot figure out why everyone else connects and changes the...

JAKIPER48V100aH Please help with BMS software?

What is the required windows driver update to communicate with the 1st gen Jakiper BMS? On a laptop running windows 11, and none of the driver files they provide are for windows 11. Still tried many different driver packages and the BMS app still has no COMM when trying to find battery bms with...

    Growatt 12KW Setup/Review

Hey all, Here is my electrical system. Did my homework and this is the result. Some questions still remain. Equipment: Growatt 12kW Location: USA No solar panels at this time. First of all, this will not be utilized as passthrough. The intention is to manually switch on batteries/inverter, and...

    Off Grid with Growatt!

Ok good to know, that sounds like the way to go. I was actually following your thread about the growatt. I guess with the second SCC you still need to run DC breakers and in line fuses, right? I was just gonna go with the 7kw max input in panels, but I think the more panels I incorporate from...

    Off Grid with Growatt!

Hello all, Well I am preparing to put my system together once I gather all the necessary components. Looking at getting some 395w jolywood bifacial, and run those 4s3p in two strings. (9480w total, overpaneling by 35% OR maybe I will get another mppt...and/or stagger the east to west sun 50/50)...
