Anyone know of a good source for lead acid battery cores?

Goal is to make deal with local battery recycler.

Pay recycler's core charge; take used core home and see if Bedini SSG can rejuvenate them.

If you can rejuvenate a core and get it back into active capacity, you have a useful battery for your battery bank.

If you can't get a battery to rejuvenate, you take that particular core back and exchange for another core to attempt charging and repeat until you've a complete battery bank sufficient for your needs.

Striking a "deal" with a local battery dealer is usually called "illegal waste-stream diversion" - a real problem in poor or developing countries.

In the worst case, shady "rejuvenators" try and sell basically dead batteries to the poor, and since the population can't afford a new battery in exchange as a core, the local battery dealer can't just accept dead cores on their own for cash or sometimes even just free recycling when these "locally rejuvenated" cores go dead on them.

Instead, those short-lived so-called rejuvenated cores end up in a big mass somewhere or on the side of the road, polluting the local environment, and also presenting a major health-hazard to the community.

Surely that is not the intent here, but the scheme is similar enough to warrant a comment on something that should be looked out for and prosecuted when it occurs.
