Hi guy, im buy battery from BMW i3 ( 16 pack ) , now connect all pack parraler. I wonder what safe voltage limits I can move within. Now I have set 43,5v -48,3v , I don't want to charge to full. Can anyone advise how to set the absorption times correctly? For better orientation, I am interested in points 1-5

BMS use simp BMS 2x ... 16 battery packs.. from two BMW vehicles. One vehicle contains 8 aluminum boxes with batteries. So 16 in total

And each "pack" has 12S of 3.7V cells according to Google.

Cell operating range is 3.0-4.2V
75% is at 3.92V
20% is at 3.5V

If you operate in that range, you'll likely get many many thousands of cycles.

I don't recall what the SoC is, but 4.05V/cell is another reasonable topping voltage. That would be 48.6.

Absorption really depends on your system overall resistance and charge current, so you'll have to play it by ear and set it accordingly. The battery is fully charged once current has dropped very low.

That addresses #1 and #5; however, I need to know how you're typically using the MP for charging. Is it continuously connected to grid backup, charged by generator, etc.?
