Hey y’all, hit a stump in the road.
I want to connect CIGS 2x ( 200watt 24v in parallel) to two sets of Mono ( 2x 200 watt 12v in series =24v) &( 2x100watt 12v in series =24v)…
Is there a major problem with mixing the three different types( particularly cigs with mono)of solar panels if they are all 24v? ( I’ve heard of minor amp loss problems) but that doesn’t worry me. Branching(12awg connectors) them together onto 8 awg then onto charger ?
Thx a bunch.

Panels in parallel need to be at the same Vmp (±10%, but will get that % as a penalty to the whole array)
Panels in series will operate at the current of the lowest rated panel in the string.

Poly, mono, bifacial, CIGS, Gallium Arsenide are all irrelevant.

Thx so much, truly appreciate the reply( I have now educated myself on vmp). So my vmp of the 4 panels ( 2 x100w in series & 2 x 200w in series / then paralleled )is 19vmp for all 4. The other two of them are 24vmp ( 2x200w paralleled) and then the 3 combos are then all paralleled together. So that’s basically taking all 6 of the panels to 19v ( in parallel ) I take it, or is paralleling the 3 sets a different outcome? ( So I’m safe just reducing the efficiency of the two 24 vmp panels,?)

This is excessive. 19V vs. 24V is a > 20% difference. There is concern when one string Vmp is above the other strings' Voc. This has the potential for the lower voltage strings to act as a short circuit path for the higher voltage strings.

I would not use these panels together in parallel.
