All weather only if you live in the south. That baby would freeze up solid outside where I am.

It has internal heating.
Not sure where you’re at, but I get your point,

So what are you using in your freezing conditions and inside, or outside?

Look very interesting... I am thinking about getting two of these for my off grid Sol-Ark system to replace my 39 Aquion 48V sodium ion batteries (good for about 5 kWh now... waking up to my Starlink UPS beeping because power went off).

What cells are in these? Are they laser welded in or can they be field replaced?

The FAQ says you can connect up to 3 of them with parallel kit for the eg18. Is that just the limit for the eg18 or can it be expanded further beyond 3 units with other inverters?

Looks like a decent saving per kWh compared to the LL v.2 5.12kWh rack mounts. $311 versus ~$280.

Slots in between the Trophy 220Ah and their 304Ah with lower price per kWh. Trophy have their non pro rated 10 year warranty, but the eg4 has more seamless integration and "tower of power" form factor.

Full Solark comms like the LL

We won’t stick a warranty on a bolted pack. I think that in the history of this forum exactly zero people have swapped a cell and shown good results.

Where I am it can get -10F and stay that way for a week. I have trophy batteries with heaters that are housed in an unheated shed, but I still have to have the batteries in a heated, insulated closet. I use a not insignificant amount of battery power to keep them warm in the winter.

Ok so not so different than the subject battery except these being built more water resistant, are more space efficient, can take more watts, and appear to be easier to hook up.
Is discharge same on the Trophies?

Server rack batteries are certainly easier to move around if needed.

I have 6, 120ah batteries in parallel. Most people who use server rack batts, do this, so the discharge rate is related to how many batteries you have. I limit the Amps on my inverter to (hopefully) increase the longevity of the batteries.

I think these giant batteries are great if you have the transport and lifting abilities to handle them, but separate batteries are more flexible for me, since I am remote and have to do most of my work alone.
 
Just watched Will's video on this battery and although it's pricier per kWh than a DIY build the footprint and ability to place it outdoors is REALLY tempting especially in a smaller home where space is already limited.
 
I put (Well, maybe not “All”) in the op because there will always be use cases of extreme cold or heat that make calling something “all” weather somewhat inaccurate, or conditional.
At least if you want to use them.
Internal heaters are great but since they consume energy maybe the power is not going to last as long as may be needed for some use cases. And extreme heat, like half the USA has had this summer well that’s another issue.

It’s still an awesome battery I’d love to have a few of. So much more space efficient and cleaner install than server rack.

I wonder if smaller similarly space efficient 5-10kwh versions may be available in the future.

I’ve been happy with my SOK batteries, but the very first one I bought actually showed up with multiple loose battery bolts. Talked to Dexter and it was a quick fix, but I’ve certainly seen it first hand.

I like the idea of being able to fix a battery, I also like the idea of not having to.
 
Since this can be hung on an exterior wall, it raises some intriguing options. How far could I practically locate it? 20feet?
