EG4 18K PV Issues

I have a SolarEdge 19.4K system and recently added an EG4 18K PV inverter and backup battery. Battery is homemade 48V LiFePO 43K setup. I had a guy install the system and he did a great job and everything worked as it should until I changed a setting and selected forced discharge to see how long the batteries would power the house. When I disabled forced discharge, the system never went back on-grid. My installer has spent 5 hours or more and I have been on the phone with Signature Solar for about ten hours and we still can't get this thing ironed out. As it stands, I am running off of battery power and the array recharges the batteries during the day and pushes excess out to the grid. Why is it running off of the battery at night and not the grid?
