Hi Everyone,

Not sure if this is the right spot.

I am looking for something to monitor 2x Firefly batteries that are connected to a generic Renogy inverter / charger.

Ideally a standalone unit that has wifi or ethernet connectivity? Looking to capture voltage data primarily. Something that has history and not just a point in time, that has it's own web service..

This would work but it's only bluetooth...

Thoughts?

I ended up buying the cheap bluetooth kit. I will keep looking for something that will allow me to access the information when I am not home over the internet...

It works surprisingly well for basic data.

You have two options for battery monitoring over the internet - both from Bogart Engineering.

Trimetric monitor & the WiFi unit
or
Pentametric monitor & its ethernet interface

I asked the same question here:
And I didn't find anything I liked better than the same automotive bluetooth monitor the OP bought.
Glad you like it!
I would prefer WiFi too because the range is better than Bluetooth.

I'd also be really curious to hear from a Victron expert.
Their sensors (so i've been told) can be used standalone as well.

Perhaps there is another component they sell (even if not for this direct purpose - something that links to their cloud) that could talk to these sensors via the VE network and report home.
