Just read this article and was impressed by the numbers:

By 2026, the US will have over 17 times its current manufacturing capacity across modules, cells, wafers, ingots, and inverters when these announced factories are online – and that’s enough to supply the majority of solar projects expected to be built in the US.

Umm this isn’t 1890s, it’s called automation.
Voltronic Power Technology has 957 employees in 2023, with automation.

It’s all about profits, so that greedy US execs can rake in $2M+ salaries, fly around in their $20-58M tax deductible bizjets and take paid family vacations.

That or a small PR stunt to claim Siemens is in the US manufacturing Solar market even if it’s just the bare minimum.

These IRA type of subsidies have known to come and go on a whim.

I worked for Siemens once. My local team had 12 people to cover a regional area. This was a part of a much larger cog of a few thousand employees to simply support healthcare equipment.
I’m not sure what a dozen people does, even if getting dressed in the morning was automated
