Hi all!
Just purchased a re-branded (Energizer) Krieger Pure Sine 1500W 12V Inverter from Amazon for our solar shed (as per Will's recommended "small system" specs). After doing some reverse engineering, it appears the 8-pin RJ45 connector is using RS485:
Pin 1: power button
Pin 2: power button (+15V across power button pins when not pressing the button)
Pin 3: +12V when powered on
Pin 4: GND
Pin 5: RS485 A
Pin 6: RS485 B
Pin 7: N/C
Pin 8 N/C
The unit can toggle power on/off by shorting pins 1+2. I'd really like to get the additional info available on the display (battery voltage, AC voltage, AC watts). Before digging into what's going on on the RS485 bus, I thought I'd ask if anyone has already figured it out?
Thanks in advance!
