I live in the woods in Ohio and currently no leaves. On my RV I have 18x100w panels, 3x100w in series to my 12V and 5s3p 1500w to my 48v. I'm noticing about a 20% increase in performance in the series vs parallel when under shading. On days when I'm on the road and parked usually under clear sun I'm noticing 17% increase in the 48v system. 8.64kwh vs 1.48kwh (multiplied by 5 7.4kwh). This seems a bit confusing and once I get more results over multiple trips and longer days parked in full sun I'll know more.
The plan was to add more panels while at home in a ground array and utilize my inverter system in the coach to backfeed into my house using ESS and offset some of my home's monthly 3000kwh usage, then unplug and still use like normal on the road. It seems that the solar isn't even close to covering the RVs idle loads.
Any tips on how to setup solar under trees for optimal performance?
