I have tried setting the battery as lead-acid (no can comms) and have connected a Seplos 10E BMS and in both cases, if the inverter fully charges the battery and stops charging, when the house demand exceeds solar production, the inverter refuses to use the battery, instead drawing power from the grid, even though there are no alarms on the inverter (or BMS when connected).
Everything seems normal, charging/discharging until the battery reaches fully charged and the charge current drops to zero.
The only way to get the inverter to start drawing from the battery again is either to reset the inverter, or to pull the battery voltage down to < approx 53.5 volts.
I don't know if this is because of some upper limit setting, or if it is when the inverter thinks is should start trying to charge again...
Current inverter settings are Absorption = 56 volts / Float = 54 volts / Over-Voltage = 56.5 volts
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Kevb.
