I have a 48 volt system with 2- 12 year old xantrex 4048 inverters for 110/220 volt power. I have 2 strings of rolls batteries for 1278AH. I also have 24- 175 watt shell solar panels. The estimated battery life is 10-15 years on the Rolls batteries and I am in year 12 or 13. I would like to convert to a lithium battery system but wonder what a good and economical system would work with my current inverters. Are there any battery systems that would still charge with these inverters and give me a descent capacity for a price that will not break the bank? If I get 400ah of the Battle Born batteries it will cost me $16,000. I probably use 250-350 AH per day on my current system. Is there a better way to go that is long lasting and safe?

The exact make and model of your inverter would help someone look up the charge parameters.
You could get 32x 3.2 volt@280 ah lifepo4 cells and make 2x 51.2 nominal volt batteries in parallel.
That would give you 560 amp hours @ 51.2 volts which is = 28672 watt hours of which.
Thats 22937.6 watt hours @ 80% depth of discharge.

Here are some photos of the system.
