Set precisely at 22 degrees, (thank you Pythagoras), and with spacing between each panel to allow for wind to pass through to reduce sail effect, these rustic style log solar racks represent the perfect blend of high tech and old world charm.

Right on brother! Thanks for the idea,... have plenty of pesky Black Locust trees on the property can use for this....

What would make this perfectly organic would be if you tied those logs together with the stems of some kind of stringy plant! As it is I love that you used those limbs! And impressed that you remembered the math. I know the formula but I fall apart when I have to figure of the square root of numbers. I NEVER knew how to do that, though I went to school when the calculator was just something on The Jetsons.....

Thanks Eddie, the limbs are actually young, white oak trees cut fresh for the project, (don't worry there are a few thousand more). I'm no advanced mathematical genius either but the internUt and my Texas Instruments calculator is and A squared plus B squared still = C squared! Carry on amigo!

A squared plus B squared still = C squared

Where I got the F was when A squared plus B squared equaled 63.2 and I had to figure out that square root. 3sq+4sq=5sq is easy when doing framing. Numbers like you were dealing with were why I went to summer school.

Well I was going for 22 degree panel tilt which is close enough to half of 45 degrees which is easy enough to eyeball if you picture a ninety degree angle, especially when your working with logs!
