If you use a small grid.tie inverter in Germany, you won't get paid for your energy export. And the energy prices are quite beefy !
Worse –since almost all homes are connected with 3 phases– and the power intensive appliances are installed on other phases than the power sockets.
So you can't frequently even use your solar energy yourself.
The meters count each phase separately. So you usually must pay for what you consume on the power intensive appliances full price, while providing for free at the same time energy to the provider.
Of course the sellers don't tell that to you...
