RE: EG4 Monitor
I've been having a number of issues with the EG4 monitor over the last few days... I have two inverters in parallel
and until maybe this morning it was not reporting anything from the secondary, the display was generally broken, stuff not working, and my charts are still messed up.
NOTE: I am not grid tied,
I'm on a transfer switch. I have current sensors on both legs in my panel (green), at the feed from the outside panel to the transfer switch (red), HVAC (yellow) EVSE (blue), and my HWH and clothes dryer (purple) are on a mutually exclusive switch dryer has priority. (also note it's 114 at the moment, that yellow line is going to be flat for the next couple hours
i turn the air down at 1700)
So we see here, a little before 0730 the inverter cuts on, red (grid) goes to zero so the inverters are running the show. At 10AM my control computer cut on the EV relay, the car started charging at 24A. We see a couple of showers(bath) kicking the HWH at 8/9 a re-fluff on some clothes in the dryer, then another load drying around 11. The green line is clearly solidly above 6KW, peaking as high as 18kw, and yet.
The monitor chart (below) clearly shows little consumption at 1100 but a small spike in battery usage (makes sense, 13KW of PV another 5 from the batteries). I'm not sure what the orange line is showing, but it bears little reality to actual consumption.
At this point, I'd take anything on their page as fluid at best. At least it's sorta workin' for me now. That being said with perseverance I have tamed the modbus on the inverters, and I'm now recording the data every 30 seconds on my own, so I'll probably just do my own thing. If I ever get it vanilla I'll post a code link.
