As MPPT consider the new Victron MPPT RS
https://www.victronenergy.com/solar-charge-controllers/smartsolar-mppt-rs-450-tr
They can handle up to 450Wp with 2 strings
At the moment they are only in 48v, but that reduces the cable size (and money) even more
Hi,
I am new to this forum, I have a 24v 200A Lifepod witch I added a Daly 8S 100A. The battey bank is mounted on a cherry picker...
The BMS connects to the app, I can connect with the laptop but there is no juice through the BMS to the load.
How can I test that?
What did I do wrong?
Thanks in...
I can activate the Daly with the button on the status board. The bars will light up after 3 seconds pusing the button. At this time i am not pulling anyting
Finally got the time to connect the daly 16S 250A to my 305 Basen batteries wih your script
As suggested I removed the 10A balancer, to avoid conflicts.
The Daly/Cerbo works fine with the supplied Daly UART cable, so no need for a (expensive) Victron cable or converter
Now I have another set...
Update.
I had the time to look at it again.
Stopped the discharge. Restarted it. No effect. Resetted it to default
Now I measured 26v on the Anderson.
Hurray!
Thanks all for the input. I know a bit more of these bms' es
Is it an Idea to put a additional (active) balancer on top of the Daly?
I found this one https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/2-24s-mv-Precision-4A-Active_1600314957604.html?spm=a2700.wholesale.0.0.1f4e59a69bDnJO
This has 4A capacity
@Damon YIP Please explian, why should I buy a board (link to that interface?) if there is another solution, witch works https://diysolarforum.com/threads/victron-venusos-driver-for-serial-connected-bms-jbd-daly-ant-jkbms-heltec-renogy-tian-ecs.17847/
I came to this thread because one of my...
Activate is a onetime operation I assume.
The button is a wake-up button. Thats what I meant.
The load side is divided by an Anderson 350A plug. There is also no power (~1 volt) so the Daly is blocking it.
When I get there I will put the cherrypicker on 230v.
I yesterday fried a Victron MPPT 150/45, stupidly I assumed I had still 4 370Wp panels hooked, but I connected 6 of them. 230v dc was too much..
I know Victron puts in a fuse internally, but how to open such a case?
Here is some very good reading:

I use something like this to let the bank at desired temp, activating by a Victron Cerbo
https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/4000454364722.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4dMZDnH0
Thanks for that, you are right...
I forgot the daly to set the specs of the batterybank. I did that now using the BT and app. The daly and smartshunt are somewhat the same now.
I let the firmware at 2.74 on the cerbo, since there is no major upgrade in the latest.
Is it possible to display the...
First of all the shunt needs to know what is 100% It is measuring it using the peukert exponent. It should be set to 1.05 according Victron. My reply was when it should be at 100% because it also is looking at voltage
The hydraulic pump draws 70 amps according the service manual.
But is only activaded after activating a switch. It starts to run, then you can pull another lever to go up or down. In this situation the amp draw will rise
Hi, I was wondering, did you update the Multiplus to the latest firmware? I did (494) and got weird outputs. This could effect the BMS also.
Findings:
1 All my assistants/setups were gone, reinstalling I see now in remote 2 ESS releases.
2 In VRM I see sometimes weird values, battery drains a...
Victron supports pylontech https://www.victronenergy.com/live/battery_compatibility:start
I visited a seminar of them, and asked I they would build a BMS (in fact are cells dumm)
Johannes Boonstra answered that Victron will not support that, because the expect problems generated by the cells and...
If I measure on the + on the anderson and the blue wire on the daly I get 26v (being the - on the pack)
On the - on the anderson zero.
So it is pointed to the interior of the daly
Can I see in the app whether the mosfet or relais is triggered/closed?
