I gat to say this.
This is a Beautiful project...I mean we are taking this to a different level better than out-of-the-box manufactural specifications for the professionally released components :)
The functionality available to us are becoming way more advanced than the original product...
Since I Migrated to Atom S3 the stability has been out of this world
I no longer have issues where both batteries are out of sync any more
so the issues most have been the ESP32 dev kit
O.k - i figured it out -solved my own problem
means I was one of the first if not the first to really know how to flash an S3 on this project as i was one of the first to purchase it for this process and i did exactly what i did now except i didn't follow it all the way through to the final...
@silverstone
I am perfectly okay.k I don't need to learn anything.
.....anyways - thanks for voicing my same opinion on the UKSA007 solution....at least we had one thing in common.
I did voice my appreciation multiple times for the great effort on the project - even with my annoyance right now...
I am not particularly happy with some ppl on this thread - not mentioning names , bcos i dont want to give them excuse to start something bcos if they do i might explode on them.
But for the project sake and for the sake of ppl who will refer to similar senario when they do their reseach i am...
I would like to report that the AoBo with the SMA protocol worked for me in the end....this time I made sure I shut down all systems including both batteries after changing the settings.
Not sure what benefits it has over the Pylon protocol, but I will be keeping the settings as recommended...
How to Flash Atom S3 with EspHome - HA
I struggled with flashing Esp32 S3 Atom lite with the (Sleeper85) project I was actively involved for the Rs485/CAN battery Comm conversion
- unlike flashing the Esp32 dev kit chip, it's not as straightforward.
but I finally found a way around it...
I have documented the process in the below link:
https://diysolarforum.com/threads/how-to-flash-atom-s3-with-esphome-ha.83457/
Hope it helps other HA EspHome users.
For me it was compatibility - before the integration, my inverter would not see my batteries - then I realized the protect that came with it after implementation
With my Solis setup it was'nt stopping at the 0% SoC until i decided to stop it way before the lower SoCof 3.32
So now i noticed it stops at 3.4 which around 47 volts
i set it to the lowest margin so in the event is has to Forcecharge it only does it to 5%...it been o.k so far
Just Finished off my Second String now - Job Neater
v
Looking Good with all currently having their own CAN port assigned
String 1 2xCAN BLE in Parallel
String 2 2xCAN BLE in Parallel (Plus the Wired CAN is still plugged into the JKBMS CAN Port)
Second String Voltage values are more...
- Routing
- Switching / Bridging
- NAT including OUTBOUND NAT
- Firewall (Input Rules, Forward Rules, Passthrough Rules, Output Rules, etc)
Apart from Passthrough Rules, Output Rules,
I thought I did - After all, I have been an Infrastructure Architect for over 9 years now after my Solution...
Yes it is Perfect at this stage - working as expected
you read my mind on the topic of the Solis protocol - I basically just finished testing User-Define protocol option from the Solis inverter, it worked fine except it did not allow me to change the Overdischarge SOC below 20 .
It was stock...
O.k i hear you ... i was with the impression the % is affected by the margin between 0% SOC and 100% SOC...i can swear i have seen it adjust when i adjusted the SOC upper and lower end...
o.k i will start recharge sooner than originally set bcos i don't want to lose sleep watching this again today lol...as i have never had both recharge fully to 100% i want to keep an eye on it.
@DrPablo
i am as we speak updating the Yaml to meet the same version
Also - i kind of suspected this was the case - so i have been playing aorund with the Ah to try and get the Batt 1 align with Batt-2, but have not succeeded yet, sometimes it batches then after some time it lags .....i guess this is the draw back with no RS485 comunication between both setup.
Yup - You might be right there, bcos i have not been able to get them both to absolute 100% yet
90% batt-1 and batt -2 maybe 80
They are both built out of same model same capacity battery GBLI5001
but i suspect one performs more that the other...but the average voltage are always matched, if...
And yes it is Anarchy , the behaviour right now,
It's stable when i turn off or disconnect the ESP CAN,
i did everything correctly - not sure what is missing
i am going back to set the protocols both on the inverter and the BMS to Pylontech again - will report here
