I have a 48v lifepo system consisting of 2-16cell 280amh packs.
Some of the bus bars that came with the pack are ruined and it's hard to find them instantly.
Can you not copper wire and lugs them together?
What's the deal with that?
Need my system up and running asap and bus bars are taking a...
Me too, bus bars corrade and it's hard to get them now unless you make them yourselves which I can not do. I want to make a 16c 48v system and ditch the bus barsr completely.
It's a purple like cheap metal I'm sure there done. What's the negative side about just doing lugs and copper wire? These bus bars are getting harder to get? I can do lugs and copper all day?
I've got 2- 16cells= 32 lifepos in series and parallel together,in a 48v system
Looks great, but these are the nickel plated ones that came with the cells, they can not be cleaned properly, right? Can you only clean as mentioned above if they were copper not nickel plated?
The service panel only has the 2 hots and a neutral and a ground bond going outside. Then the solar panel arrays are grounded to the same rod.
So the sub panel will have a breaker and the inverters 2 hots and neutral go to that?
Of course, I've been doing this solar for 2 years and have to say...
Your amazing now anyway to draw a simple schetch as I'm still a little confused on the wiring portion inside the sub panel? The 2 hots , neutral and ground coming in from the inverter, are these 4 wired the same as any other circuit i did on the main panel because i know how to do it but do not...
Ok in lame-mans term ( being me, a mom of 4 doing this on my own after being robbed atleast $10,000 from supposed electrician and solar installers) a little rant haha....
So I get the set up your saying, but when u say back feed, does that mean that the Circuit being fed to the sub...
So like a sub panel In-between the main service and the inverter? I've already got the 100amp 120/240 completely wired to the house. And already have.the griwatt completely hooked up to the solar outside, it's getting the 2 correctly hooked up, my first thought was splicing the inverter and...
My panel is 120/240
The off grid growatt inverter is a 12kw requiring 6awg.
I was connecting the growatt directly to my panel.
My question is how to get from the 6awg inverter AC input to the 100amp service panel wire that's currently 2 ott.
So the growatt 12kw inverter calls for 6awg. But the service panel is 2 OTT wire. So I can wire the 6awg out of the inverter to a junction box where the 2 ott wire meets, and size one or the other to match the other?
Won't I technically be loosing power doing this? This is my home service panel...
I've got a 12kw off grid inverter and the connection ports are to small for 2 OTT wire coming from my 240v panel . I removed the connector port, can I directly splice the inverter mains to the service panel main?
Pictures attached.
