Panels are now so cheap the direction is less important than the room to mount, a few extra panels will offset a less than ideal orientation so the more room the better.
Watch the 10000 cycles carefully, this is not based on an 80% of original capacity but 70%. So not far off the 6000 when you plot the line.
Alternatively call it Marketing Bullshit.
China has finally reacted to the glut and is laying off Solar Panel workers, maybe too late to stop US tariffs..
They are so cheap now there is no point holding off, the savings from some future possible decrease are more than offset by what a panel would save making electricity during the same...
-V14.17 Upgrade logs
1.Fixed a bug where parameters were lost after BMS restart. The bug is caused by a logical error in the parameter entered by the user.
2.Change the default configuration parameters to LPF to improve security.
2.Optimized JKBMS Modbus protocol, added RCV RFV...
I have a frequency controlled inverter but it never gets throttled as I also use a Raspberry Pi to monitor the frequency. When the Pi sees the frequency increasing it switches on loads so the surplus is used rather than throttled.
All achieved in Node-red.
I built a DIY 16S battery using
Fogstar supplied Envision 280AH Grade B cells
Case was an self build XR-07 with JK-PB2A16S20P BMS and screen
It is now built and is at 69% charge out of the box and all cells are at 3.29V +/- .01V.
SMA SI 5048 EU is loaded with latest SI 6048 US firmware with...
My dad was a time served Coach builder, he taught me nothing other than how to get shouted at when holding a torch that did not shine directly on the nut he was undoing. I am self taught (don't count the engineering degree as its of no practical use), have my own workshop with Lathe and...
FIT is transferrable to new owner regardless of what happened to the previous owner.

Whatever you go to to be able to work with the SI in off grid is best to have have a frequency control, @1201 has confirmed his Growatt does this and I have confirmed that EU Solax's will do this also. If it does not have frequency control then, if your battery is large enough and can handle...

Its one of those odd systems where a 2nd DC to battery inverter was added to a normal DC to AC inverter to add on a battery so the self use of...
Any new local housing development near to me is mandated to include solar panels where the roof points the right way ie South or East and West. New builds are bought by the young with families with both parents working and the kids at school so during peak production no one is home. Selling...
It's not the strength of the wind that is the issue but the back and forth bending, you risk fatigue cracks appearing and then propagating. This is likely to appear at the point of entry into the ground. Best solution is another beam running from the top at an angle to the ground on the shaded...
See post 13 for the pic, for some reason my type of board has 2 P8 pins and tracks, most only have one resistor fitted but both mine were populated so I had a spare. I have now bought some resistors in case more go but there were no 1/16W 0.01 Ω resistors around so I bought 1/8W 0.02 Ω...
Your installer messed up on an item that is known to cause issues and did not take the time Iie 5 mins to check. Installers fault, how you get him to pay is the problem, when did you complain, did you get an independent check.
You will have to search for that answer, I use optimisers but only to mitigate shading not to downrate the panels and I did not consider reducing output as the inverter takes what it needs as long as its there to take. So out of my 31 panels I have 6 with optimisers as those panels are shaded in...
Yes that is how it is set, have set it using the Bluetooth via the app on android phone and tablet and a PC using the RS485 link and both work. Have changed to the Goodwe Canbus which also works but not sure if there are any advantages except that Pylontech LV seems to give the barest info...
