Got a lot of stuff done today. Had most of the house on solar in the afternoon (no hotwater, no garage refrigerator, no mini splits) Everything doing well with the unit. Researching batteries now.

Got the Vevor 72v 900w DC Pool pump off eBay for $350. Came in yesterday and I had just enough time to test it on just 3X 330watt 35v panels in series, moving water pretty good! If this thing lasts it's going to pay for itself quickly considering the cash I throw at the utility company to spin...
I added labels to my disconnects and PV disconnect outside by the meter. I made these labels and printed them on sticker paper. Cheaper than paying what I saw a lot of the sticker sheets cost. You could probably get away with just printing them on paper and putting a layer of clear tape over...
Final images of install. I am going to let it ride now and work on other projects. I made it through the entire night last night on batteries, first time that’s happened. Happy with everything so far, buss bar project worked out very well, I am proud of that. Cheers
Just pay what you’ve learned forward, that’s what I am doing, guys like @Crowz @Kenny_ and @42OhmsPA have helped me out tremendously.
This Florida suns got me making too much power guys! Overproduction! Need more storage or to turn stuff on lol
I gotta get more storage going
Guys,
I’ll tell you one thing that is very impressive about having one of these inverters on your main panel… it will tell you if something is not right with your power…
Long story short. My batts got low and it was dark out, I heard inverter switch to bypass… but a minute later I heard it...
My #4 setting was set by BMS when comms connected:
Yes I have been very happy with the second inverter. I believe my first had an issue when it arrived. I am glad they sent me a new one. I like Sungold 10k (SRNE ASF) It packs a lot of punch for the $1580 spent on it.
$1580 inverter
$1350 batt...
Yes it will still charge your batteries but you won't have any inverter functionality it's just an MPPT at this point. I've ran sun to utilities ( no batts ) MIX LOD, sun only ( no batts ) (no grid), and sun grid batts, all work great. I still believe for the price point these machines are...
Quick video of my Sungold 10k hybrid inverter SPH10K48SP and Sungold Wall Mounted Powerwall 48V SG48100M install. I plan to add another battery and add my disconnects on the external wall behind this system
I did the whole house in Carrier, but I don’t recommend them really. I’d do a Senville dual zone or if you’ve got some extra cash do a Mitsubishi. You may have to buy a bottle of gas or pay someone to gas them up, either that or you’re buying precharge kits which I don’t like. I have zero...
Made alittle progress today. Going to do my disconnects when I get my second battery and put them outside the wall. The paint jobs are a different color blue, but not a huge deal. Everything running good, got my comm wire in conduit too.
Your theory is exactly what I’m doing.
I chose Sungold because inventory is already in U.S., sales are going, no tax, and no shipping. It’s a no brainer in regards to $$$ and getting your feet wet in solar.
No parallel, but my plan is to have 2 sub panels and partner each with 2 wall batts by...
I’ve finally gave up on my old MPPT and went with a nice Victron unit I got off Alibaba. This things such a beast! I’m sold on Victron quality. Can’t wait to order more stuff from them
If anyone sees this at some point, this is the wiring you need between Sungold 10k hybrid inverter SPH10K48SP and Sungold Wall Mounted Powerwall 48V SG48100M. You must remove blue and orange wires or
You’ll see error 58.

I’ve been running like this for a week or so, I absolutely love the SA automation, it’s smoothed my grid/batt/solar transitions up tremendously and allowed me to control my switch off battery without changing BMS info or relying on voltages. Still able to use inverter/batt comms but maintain my...
Sungold SG48100M has arrived. Temporary setup and operating with no errors. I’ve learned a few things I’ll share in another post when I get confirmation. Suspicions on PIN7 is RS485A and PIN8 is RS485B are correct. Solid unit so far, no visual defects, heavy as expected, mounting bracket robust...
I'm excited that I just ordered Sungold SPH10K48SP for $1569. Hopefully this rig works out well! Pretty excited! Woohoo!
I plan to document my experience with it here! Thanks
Wow so just talked to Visa and they were on my side big time. Basically said based on the case I am describing the item was defective and also did not match the description provided by the merchant. They've credited the account back $1500 (provisionally) and the case manager is going to interact...
I would think it’d need a board and a firmware change. I doubt we’ll ever have that. Not a huge deal for me.
I’m now ready for my two new batts arriving Tuesday.
That’s why I don’t even attempt to run old school non variable speed a/c compressors on HF inverters… 50+ amps to start an AC?!, that’s just ridiculous to me. I cut my old machines out and split the entire house before I even went solar, max surge is 15amps on the 24000 btu multi head units...
