So you "may" have all the strongest together and the weakest together. I dunno though. I tried to make correlations between how quickly or how much cells settle vs cell capacity and did not come up with anything conclusive (i am in the middle of actual capacity testing to get real numbers.)...
  • Post in thread: Beeping inverter

How much of a load are you putting on the inverter? What is the load? AC? Microwave?
  • Post in thread: Newcomer planning a solar power equipment to somewhat large RV

You will almost certainly have better results if you do. And also important is the pairing of your 2P pairs. I know you said they are matched but they still may have capacity differences. If you can capacity test, pairing strongest with weakest, second strongest to second weakest… This will...
  • Post in thread: Solar panel question...

What is the temp coefficient? What is the Voc?
  • Post in thread: Maximizing capacity Question!

I'd bet its less than 10%, probably more like 5% DC to DC. It may depend more upon the quality and size of the converter. An quality converter sized to your needs/usage would be best. I mess a lot with 18650's but I've never made them into a big battery. Have you seen the threads with the...
  • Post in thread: Voltage differences in strings

Before attempting to mix and match your panels, it'd be helpful to know your SCCs limitations. What is the max input voltage? Will assume a single MPPT. Is it an AIO or grid tied or ?? Are there restrictions which prevent you from connecting some 270W panels to some 375W panels (like they...
  • Post in thread: BMS Preventing Standalone Charging After Battery Charge becoming to low

What software? Did it see the battery/BMS but not connect or ?? Wondering if you should start a new thread title "EG4 RS485 cable, computer connection?" if you'd get someone that has done this.
  • Post in thread: Looking for some general advice on Lifepo4

Is there a reason you cannot recharge it with solar after bottom balancing? (i'm doing this now but the clouds are blocking my power supply)
  • Post in thread: To Float or not...

For longer periods this is what i am doing (disconnecting solar). Otherwise i set my float (13.2v)just below where my settles on its own (13.4v). Without doing this, the batteries get charged several times an hour. I am really avoiding this. Folks that constantly use their batteries report...
  • Post in thread: Help to connect one inverter to electrical panel using breakers

Just out of curiosity, what batteries and inverter do you have?
  • Post in thread: LifePo4 cells getting unbalanced when drop below 3V

Yes but there is a balance between getting all the harvested solar to the battery and charging so fast that the cells do not absorb equally and cell over volt stops charging. I think the OP is hitting cell OVP before his cells absorb to a full charge. This may be more of a charge current issue...
  • Post in thread: Help

Is there a charge controller between the solar panel and battery? If not, then there is nothing to prevent the battery from being overcharged. What is the Vmp of your solar panel?
  • Post in thread: Choosing a controller

What is the Voc and Isc of each panel? Assuming they have similar enough specs and can make 350W: 340W / 14V charging = 25A charging max 3kW inverter for 75Ah battery sounds quite big. The idle current alone will use quite a bit of that battery everyday. Guessing 20W idle power for inverter...
  • Post in thread: Series vs Parallel Question with odd number of panels

So that would accept 3S if you were to get a 6th panel to make 3S2P (best way to use your 5 would be to add a 6th). Otherwise 2S2P and 5th panel on separate SCC (not as bad as it sounds, it provides redundancy and possible carryout flexibility).
  • Post in thread: Review My Setup

The disconnect in the middle is in a curious spot. What does it disconnect? Normally disconnects are for battery isolation or for solar isolation. I would look at having a single bus bar for simplicity, if possible. I do not understand the placement of the 350A bus. Are there space/location...
  • Post in thread: Photocell switch to preserve batteries

I would likely disable those appliances based on battery voltage (and possibly in combination with timers as you described).

That doesn’t sound right. Can you cut and paste the paragraph or context?

Hello I've had this Axpert VM III inverter for 1 1/2 years, I'm starting to manage its modes but browsing screens for render data [/image] https://www.cjoint.com/c/NCfrxAflR00 [/img] I am currently in SUB mode, 1) PV in 2) Edf in 3 Batteries Maybe in the summer I'll switch to SBU to get 1)PV /...

Can you find a 12v 150w grow light? That will make your system a LOT more efficient and cheaper.
  • Post in thread: Lifepo4 will not charge or discharge

12.8V is practically empty for LiFePO4 battery. What load are you connecting when the voltage drops to 5V? Happen to have a pic? What chargers are you using?
  • Post in thread: Inverter Max Input Amps, Generator size, cable size?

    12 x 24V x 50Ah = 14400Wh no matter how arranged 2S6P? Which would be a 48V at 300Ah battery (14400Wh still) .5C on a 300Ah battery is 25A 25A x 48V = 1200W charging Half the charge time 24V x 100A = 2400W charge rate 14400Wh / 2400W charge rate = 6h 48V x 100A = 4800W charge rate 14400Wh...
  • Post in thread: More power from solar panels than rated

Can you elaborate what shunt you have and how it is setup?
  • Post in thread: Why?

Which Eason unit? They make a couple. From first glance, it looks like the inverter is setup (or dedicated?) to provide 230v AC output. Have you tried locating the software to "program" the inverter on the inter web? I cannot see wattage with all the reflections on your image. Why do you...

Your pics show 38V in from solar. Solar needs to be at least battery voltage + 5V to charge.
