I have to say I was watching Will's review of the 18 k and thinking he was gushing about it like it was a new girlfriend LOL, I could say something about excited to get stinky fingers and all that fun stuff but that would be rude.
Then I went to Signature solar's website and downloaded the...
Don't over rate yourself, they are the biggest and generally the best place to buy DIY solar equipment.
Yes there has been sell back issues and yes I thought the firmware would have been further advanced than it is.
However, as with any new product I assumed there would be teething issues and...
Well it's been 5 days since the latest firmware and I am pleased to say my clocks are now accurate, well done to Luxpower, EG4  and signature solar for actually making the improvements requested.
No that is not the right way to think about it, I paid a USA distributor X amount more to get service and support from people that speak my language in my time zone. If I wanted to fuss with a manufacturer in a foreign land in a different time zone, I would have just bought it directly from them...
four months ago....trying to get the second one returned to me ever since six emails so far and one phone call and still no good news emails all ignored
I want some of whatever you have, please ?
Just go and buy a cheap set of Christmas tree lights and steal the sticker from those, for some bizarre reason they always have them and they look fantastic with their 3D hologram lol
Hang on a sec or 3....I have been reading seagal as seagull all along blissfully thinking this guy lives by the sea.
Now I understand he is a she who lives by the sea, now I see. ?
I have been swapping panels around, taking the 330w 60v Panasonic panels over to the new home to install and replacing with 315w 40v Hyundai until we move out of here.
Anyway, I flipped the breaker off for that string and went about my work. I noticed one of the paralleling Y was water damaged...
How quickly we forget that solark were having firmware issues, set up issues and lack of understanding in the early days too but they have continued to refine and release firmware to make it the extremely fine product it is today. I have no doubt that the EG4 18K will follow a similar path.

So in my Florida garage I have my hot water tank and a beer fridge plus three inverters and six batteries. At 9:00 a.m. this morning my garage was at 90 degrees Fahrenheit and my beer fridge and inverters are showing signs of stress.
I had thought about putting in a mini split but decided to go...
These Luxpower based units are entirely different from anything that has gone before and significantly better than previous offerings from Voltronics and Growatt.
However they are more complicated and you must read and understand the manual before deployment. Yes this sounds condescending but...
The inverter will take 1-2 minutes to switch to utility input.
The dry contact output is not usable to start a generator on its own, you need an interface to handle the generator start system.
SS have plenty of sales people and not enough tech people.
I should start a new thread but just wanted to get this out there quick for now.
I had installed Cloudy Bay dimmers from Amazon that seemed to work well with the crap builders grade flat LED's (Maxim 57613WTWT)
However, they flickered/jiggled/nervous as hell when I switched over to the Sol-Ark...
