Here is a my run down of my signature solar experiences. I ordered roughly 17k worth of solar panels and batteries from them last march. The order was straight forward, shipment took place shortly after I placed the order. The panels and batteries arrived undamaged and packed well. I installed...

Go into detail about surge protection / lighting protection. Seems like a lot of snake oil out there and would be nice to test in real life and view how the systems are hooked up. Do a pros / cons backed up by real world testing.

Follow up to my review. Signature solar did split up the shipping of my panels / 18kpv inverter. I was able to receive those items on time to complete my work needed before the beginning of December. The powerpro battery was shipped at a later date and received a couple of weeks ago. The...

I passed inspection! System is up and running. Thanks everybody for answering questions and providing pictures of their install to help with mine. @jfpetesn and @2TrevorJ Here is a few pictures. I have to clean up my racking rail ends on my roof and also repair the drywall to make it look nice...

System update - Install date of April 20th, 2023 Sol-ark 15k / 6 EG4 LL's batteries / 21 bluesun 460watt panels - No electricity bill, no problems. I don't even realize the system is there for the most part. ~4500 kWh of total energy produced as of today. I'm loving this system with no...
  • Post in thread: Lets be fair with Sol Ark

I thought the manual was awesome. Make sure you have the most updated version from their website. My Sol-ark just hit 9 megawatt hours. Works great.
  • Post in thread: Sol-Ark 15K All in One Inverter Released.

I hired professional electricians to install 200amp bypass switch, 200amp disconnect, and run electrical through a wall in the garage into wireway and sol-ark 15k inverter. I purchased 200amp bypass switch, 200 amp disconnect, wireway and inverter. I also applied for my own permits with...
  • Post in thread: Signature solar warranty department issues

thanks! Haha, I’ll need it. It’s just running a small shed that is off grid so the bar is low. The sol-ark 15k connected to the grid and running my house has been amazing. I couldn’t justify sol-ark for the 200sqft shed, but maybe I’ll regret it. The eg418k, wall mount battery and wire way is a...
  • Post in thread: First time Signature Solar Customer Review

That's a good review. I also had good luck with them when I ordered my eg4 battery rack with 6 eg4 LL batteries and 21 panels. No issues at all. shipped on time with no damage. I'll be ordering the EG4 18kpv, eg4powerpro ess 14.3kwh battery, pallet of panels and 9k minisplit soon. They are...
  • Post in thread: First time Signature Solar Customer Review

@BenFromSignatureSolar - is it possible to order things now and have things shipped at a certain date? It's really the only thing holding me back.
  • Post in thread: Signature Solar Review -30k spent in last year - honest review

I agree, I'm glad those guys are busy. I think they will come through also, but I'll probably have to cancel the order and place another order later on next year so it doesn't get shipped out at a random date when the battery shows up. Not the end of the world but just giving my feedback. I like...
  • Post in thread: Sol-Ark 15k CT sensor installation with manual bypass switch

Hi, Quick question. I'm trying to verify the correct place to install my CT sensors on my sol-ark 15k setup. Reading the manual, I think I should be putting them right before the main panel to my house. I attached a diagram below. Can you help verify if this is correct.
  • Post in thread: Sol-Ark 15k CT sensor installation with manual bypass switch

Thanks, that would be easy to do also and makes sense.
  • Post in thread: 2x Sol-Ark 15K's + HomeGrid Stacks

~70 dollar stacked lug vs ~ 3 dollar double lug... Am I missing something that is obvious to everybody else why the stacked lug would cost ~20x more? I ordered the double lugs but made me wonder. They both accept the exact same size wires. Thoughts?
  • Post in thread: Sol-Ark 15K with 44x440W panels, Tigo Optimizers and Homegrid Stack'd 38.4kWh battery pack AMA

Thanks, Greatly appreciate the response. Can you send a link to the relay you used? I'm still trying to figure out how I want mine setup. thanks
  • Post in thread: Sol-Ark 15K All in One Inverter Released.

Awesome. Thanks again for sharing those photos with me on your install. I had my inspection last week and had a few things I needed to fix for the inspector. I should pass no problem whenever I have a re-inspection. I'll share some photos once it's passed!
  • Post in thread: Sol-Ark 15K with 44x440W panels, Tigo Optimizers and Homegrid Stack'd 38.4kWh battery pack AMA

@2TrevorJ , @GregTR I recently was approved for my interconnection agreement. I have a similar install as both you with Tigo optimizers, TAP and CCA. I was curious if you can clarify a few things with wiring of the Tigo CCA and Sol-ark. Below is schematic from sol-arks manual. I'm going to...
  • Post in thread: 2x Sol-Ark 15K's + HomeGrid Stacks

Does anybody have a link to where we can purchase these? These have a benefit from less likelihood of interference? I'm evaluating my options for transfer switch. Polaris lugs Distribution block in wire trough Double lug transfer switch That seems to be my options. Double lug is the cheapest...

We need to see some picture or this compost tumbler! Sounds awesome.
  • Post in thread: Sol-Ark 15k CT sensor installation with manual bypass switch

No, I installed them in the wire way between grid tie in on the inverter and the meter. I’m going to remove that pic to eliminate confusion.
  • Post in thread: Sol-Ark 15k CT sensor installation with manual bypass switch

That’s where I put mine, it functions as it should when using TOU to prioritize batteries and limit grid use during high cost periods of the day.
  • Post in thread: Sol-Ark 15K All in One Inverter Released.

I have server rack full of 6 EG4-LL V2 batteries. I purchased them from signature solar with the solar panels. Signature solar did a great job with shipping of the materials. No issues at all. I plan on installing the batteries in the future but need to repair the drywall and clean up my...

You are correct, much colder. Thanks
  • Post in thread: Anyone use the Tigo inverter?

I have tigo optimizers on my panels along with a sol-ark. I don’t think it really matters as long as you buy an inverter that is spec’d for what you want to do at your home or business.
  • Post in thread: Sol-Ark 15K All in One Inverter Released.

My sol-ark is in the garage and my only complaint is the noise. It’s not super loud but it’s noticeable. I would pay more money for a quieter inverter vs cheaper louder inverter like a growatt. I spend a lot of time in my garage working though. You should reach out to some growatt owners for...
  • Post in thread: 2x Sol-Ark 15K's + HomeGrid Stacks

@jfpetesn Can you share a picture of the internal wiring of your GE transfer switch? I'm going to purchase the same switch and install it similar to yours. I'm trying to get an idea of what parts I need. I'm not sure If I'll need some fancy splicing hardware. It will be a single 15k install. Thanks
  • Post in thread: Need Fuses?? Server rack of 6 48volt EG4 LLs connected to Sol-Ark 15k

Hi, Is it necessary to install fuses in-line when connecting server rack of batteries to Sol-Ark 15K? Does anybody have good links to fuses for purchase? What size would you recommend? Thanks
  • Post in thread: Adding additional solar part 2: Enter the mighty solark 15k,(6) eg4 llv2 batteries and (24) 460watt up to 575 gain bifacial panels enters the room DIY

What parts did you use for the conduit from eg4 server rack to wire way? I need to do something very similar with my setup. Your install looks nice and clean.
