Hey, thanks.
Never expected to see my name in a thread title.
At least not for good behavior. lol
I'm always happy to help, if I can. We are all here to help each other.
It's a group effort.
Knowledge should be shared. Otherwise, it dies with you.
Anything grid-tied is on its last leg.
Exporting is a dying option.
The grid isn't cost effective, except as a backup.
And that's only true, until the minimum monthly charges go through the roof.
Completely agree.
EV trucks are no where near ready for real world use, yet.
Real truck people need real trucks. That can actually do what trucks are supposed to do.
What's currently available isn't for us. It's for car people who want a higher view of the road.
I don't fit that demographic.
My system needs zero attention and is more reliable than the grid. I rarely change the settings, unless I am testing something.
I do look at it a few times a day. Not because it's required. Just because I enjoy seeing how much power I'm making. Or just to show...
Over the next 30 years (maybe less). Everyone will leave the grid behind. The last customers left will have to bear the cost of keeping it going.
Don't be in that group.
Just my opinion. Everyone should come to their own conclusions.
Yup, it's nice to not notice.
A few weeks ago I was watching the news. And they were talking about power outages, due to a storm.
So, I checked the outage map. And sure enough, the grid in my area was down. I just smiled, and made some popcorn in the microwave.
So, this weekend I was running a bunch of load testing. And since I had the batteries pretty low. I decided to give my grid chargeverter backup a real world test.
Battery voltage dropped to 48v.
Dry contacts turned on the chargeverter. (Via a relay)
Chargeverter floated the batteries at 48v...
Yup, I had the same feelings when I found out about the deception.
It's not about where it's made. It's about where they claim it's made.
Too many lies, from this company. To get a single penny from me.
I see them all. There are multiple reasons for not replying.
1. Someone else is already helping. (Doesn't apply here)
2. I don't have the answers.
3. It's a wall of text, and I don't have the time to respond appropriately to all aspects.
4. I have no interest in the subject.
5. It's obvious...
Made it to 92% , today. (Which still gives me over 70kwh of remaining capacity)
Not bad considering that it was 100 degrees out.
And the humidity put the heat index at 110 degrees.
While the inside of my house was 72 degrees.
My 3-ton A/C hasn't shut off since noon. (8 hrs ago)
And I also...
I decided that the river pro wasn't going to be good enough for a full day, even with the panels.
So, I threw together some stuff I had laying around. Kind of a practice run for my future cart buid.
