These look fantastic, I wish they had a 240v ac 48v model.
However it was not clear on charging type for battery, I pulled the following from new egg listing ($700 free shipping to usa)
Battery Charge: 3-step intelligent battery charging, float and constant charge mode, 7 battery type...
Is the temp sensor inboard of battery case ?
Where is the temp controller?
If someone else built it for you, and you can't ask them how they built it, you are going to have to tear it apart and look.
This is your battery right...
Can you post a photo of the name plate on it? Maybe the manufacturer has a wiring diagram?
What about getting a manual from ford?
Does this battery charge from the vehicle alternator, or only from grid power/plugged in?
In the car floor - what was the other side with the fan doing?
If the...
In your photo the constant current led is illuminated. When I was charging, I had to turn all dials on power supply to zero, and then slowly turn them up, the power supply would switch back and forth between constant current and constant voltage depending on which dial was turned up more.
I am...
'check this out'... looks like very tight setup... only thing missing is some diesel! ?
did I read that those yamaha can be converted to run on propane/nat gas?
Just to clarify - you are then going to run extension cords to power your loads?
Can the used model s battery factory balance system be used or do you have to buy and and BMS?
the 120v pad is the garden variety for sprouting seeds with thermostat that goes on and off - I was going to use this when on site and charging and discharging.
The 12v I was going to wire on a breaker and source power from the sla, those nifty thermostats posted in the other thread are all out...
Hi guys, I bought this:
https://bigbattery.com/product/48v-li-ion-power-pack/
to replace a failing battery on a ups.
Can any one advice a bulk and float voltage for these cells? Does anyone have any experience with them?
I've asked big battery for these details, via phone and email, and...
Ok, very interesting. So you have a system configured a certain way and you need to work within that.
It needs to stay outside as it starts so frequently.
Does that 1.5 hour run time happen at approximately the same time each day? Could you set a timer then, for an hour ahead of when the...
I would say neither start up without a/c. They do try, but timeout before stable sun is available. If I could set them to only look for sun at 10am or later daily, and shut down at 5pm, that would likely work really well.
Another question is, why can't we depend on devices to be 'off' or disconnected when turned off? What is the engineering philosophy behind this? I can remember an elderly relative who had a powerbar on everything some years ago. When I questioned this I was told 'I'm not paying for something...
To avoid wear on a breaker - the load should be disconnected prior to turning using the breaker as a 'switch', right?
If the load is disconnected prior to using the breaker as a 'switch' there should be no wear on the breaker?
Or as minimal as possible?
Is this is what is being referred to...
I believe you can use any manually adjustible ground mount rack, you can get (or form and pour on site concrete blocks approx 1-2tons each, mount the ground mount to it, and then backfill the blocks with 3 inch minus stone.
When you say bedrock are you exposed granite or a foot of overburden...
A relay might work, but I would likely need a/c mains power to keep that relay powered. I updated the other thread, one of the 24kbtu units will not cool with solar except under the dehumidify/dry setting. I do not recommend buying until these problems are sorted out.
So the bottom line is this is not an off-grid capable heatpump/airconditioner.
It needs alternating current to do. Which means that you/we/me are only saving the inversion loss by being batteryless.
i.e. buying an a/c only heat pump that is most efficient and running from your main solar array...
