Tested one cell with an EBC-A20 tester. Charged, then discharged. 308.5Ah, so if they're all like that, decent capacity. Frustrating - if the seller had correctly labelled and titled the sale, they'd still be an ok buy at that price.
So what to do? They may be ok, but it's pretty sure they're not what were advertised (they'd have cost more). If they were open about what they are you wouldn't mind, though you can get generic versions off Aliexpress for 2/3rds that cost.
I have a cell tester coming so maybe wait to see what...
Oh BTW, for Australian buyers that seller has two usernames on ebay selling these cells:
goodstuffhere*au
richonline1249
You can decide for yourselves if what he's selling is legitimate based on discussion here. I certainly wouldn't say they're bad cells, but they're not what is stated.
Even...
I'm sure if the manufacturers wanted they could stop this BS, but they want to get rid of the cells that have failed the tests. They just see us as rich mug punters that deserve to be taken for a ride.
Of my batch of eight 304Ah from EEL Battery they got between 310-317Ah when I tested them. The four '304Ah' (which like this poster, were actually 280K v.3) tested at around 300-304Ah so with decent cells you're pretty likely to get more capacity than on the label, but that's like anything sold...
I’ve only just got them and noticed this while top balancing. I didn’t do it as I was careful and only did the bolts up to 4nm. Hopefully the seller (EEL Battery) will replace it (and with fast shipping).
No test report, but really if they're going to the trouble of faking QR codes, knocking up a simple excel spreadsheet would be easy.
What does a 'genuine' Eve terminal look like? These are supposed to be Eve cells. I'm not sure if the terminals are put on by EEL or Eve.
I have 8 x Eve 304Ah LiFePO4 cells and a 4S BMS. I'm going to do a 2P4S configuration for 12 volt 608Ah. This means pairing up cells on one BMS lead.
I've tested all the cells and they range from 311-317 Ah. When I'm pairing cells, am I best to put similar Ah cells together, or the worst with...
I did do some research pre purchase. I may be new to this field, but been internet buying since the '90's. It's just now I have the product I wanted to be sure I had what was listed. It's worth finding out as I could return them if they're not ok. As it is, subject to testing (just got the...
Finally got a response after being ignored for 9 days, but only after filing a PayPal claim. There's all sorts of sweet talk about quality and customers satisfaction on the site, but the reality is very different.
Their solution is to drill 4mm into the terminal and screw it down (as in the...
Ok US$968.99 delivered (ex china warehouse) for 8 Eve 304Ah (with the 2 bolt terminals). The ones they're saying are max 315Ah (they have some other cheaper ones that are max 310Ah).
They even agreed to split it into 2 orders and ship a few weeks apart as stuff coming into Australia over A$1000...
My guess is that based on the round terminal base and the Ah result, the dual bolt ones in the SFK video are actually v.2 ones.
I was almost going to post that the OP's cells may not be v.3 until post #10 in the close up through the bolt holes it looks like the straight angled bit of the...
I reckon if I'd planned on building such a big battery in the first place I might have gone 24 volt. Anyway I have all the stuff now. It's also in a motorhome so easier to just stick to 12 volt.
Just got the cells from EEL today (6 weeks from China). Final price delivered was A$1476 for 8x Eve...
Just got the cells from EEL today (6 weeks from China to Australia). Final price delivered was A$1476 for 8x Eve 304Ah (the best 304Ah ones they sell). That's smack on US$1000 (US$125 each) at today's exchange rate. Double bolt terminals, flexible bus bars. They threw in a few epoxy sheets as I...
Hi. First post. I bought 4x304Ah cells from a seller on Australian Ebay for A$1079 (US$685). The red is the sale info:
Title - EVE 12V 304ah Lifepo4 Lithium iron Battery Solar cell grade A Phosphate
Text from the description:
Lifepo4 Lithium iron Battery Electric Vehicle 300AH 3.2V solar...
I think the 280K v.3 has a higher cycle count than the 304 too. Might also depend on the shipping turnaround time?
I've just seen the newer Eve 306Ah with a supposed 10,000 cycle count are now available.
I’ve put the top label back in place I’m not sure I want to disturb it in case it’s grounds for reducing the refund. I’ll have a look and see if it (or another cell) come up ok again.
Yes tried all that last week, but the seller immediately turned super defensive, then nasty. I've already arranged to return and refund them with ebay and their counterfeit products team have been made aware of the seller.
Got my cells Dec 20th and luckily even after being away over Christmas I still managed to get to the stage of finding this problem before the 30 day post delivery date cutoff period was up. The only mention of warranty is you have a 30 day return to base option after purchase. It says they won't...
The carton labelling - They were shipped within Australia, so it's more about warning the couriers what they're carrying. I think lithium has to be labelled. (but they may also have come from China like that to the seller for the tax reasons you mention)
Thanks. Reassuring about the waviness...
Oh sod it! Just finished the top balancing and found one of the welds on the terminals is cracked and it's loose. I was very careful and only did the bolts up to 4Nm during balancing.
Same. I got a this for a few low amp things. Just bolt it on the right side.
