New to the forum, I have no doubt the questions been answered but a search here and google leads to many different scenarios.

I have two Epoch 12v 100ah batteries I have installed in my RV. I upgraded to a Progressive Dynamics converter for charging via a generator.

Installed battery one and two are wired parallel, positive to RV on battery 1 and negative on battery 2. Charged to 100% after running them through the night only battery 1 discharged to 70% and battery 2 is still at 100%

Is this typical for discharge in this configuration. I guess I was expecting both to deplete equally?

I believe you need the positive going to the rv to the first battery, the negative to the second battery.

The 100% battery gives me pause. I'm thinking that its discharge circuit isn't engaged. One test would be to split them and run just one at a time.

With your diagonal connections to a parallel set of batteries, your are correct, they should deplete equally.

If you're relying on the BMS to give an accurate SOC%, that's not going to happen. Is the voltage the same on both batteries? Are the loads showing very close to equal? If so, the settings for % may be slightly different. Use the Overkill Solar battery app to see more detailed settings.
